The Poll about the Death Penalty -

You lost me there. You say the death penalty is not a sin to the world, but you also say that the U.S. (not God's people, therefore the world) is sinning when practicing the death penalty. It seems like you are contradicting yourself. I don't get your point.

    The Lamb of God?

He always chose to the be Lamb of God, so he has always been the Lambe of God. Revelation 13:8; 21:27; 5:6 (with 5:9-14); John 1:29; Acts 15:18; Ephesians 1:4-6. Perhaps also Psalm 110:4; Hebrews 5:6; 6:20; 8:3. As in, an high priest for ever of necessity must have somewhat also to offer, for ever.

The Poll about the Death Penalty -

Jon, as I read through this thread, I think I noticed you make this kind of statement several times. Based on what Scripture do you assert that the death penalty is a sin against God? Thanks.

    I’d Rather Have Jesus

In 1922, Rhea Florence Ross Miller reflected on her father’s testimony of his deliverance from alcoholism. She recalled how he testified that he would rather have Jesus than all the gold and silver in the world. He said he would rather have Jesus than all the houses and land that money could...

Dr. Nicole Saphier Blasts 'Myopic' CDC For Ignoring Natural Immunity: 'Not Following The Science'

For people who have already had Covid-19, won't their bodies already know what it looks like? Why would they need the vaccine to show them that?

Hall of Fame goaltender dies at 78

When I grew up down here in Texas, hockey was definitely a outlier. What we knew of it was something like the guy who said he went to a fight and a hockey game broke out. Yet following sports generally, we knew the names of some of the greats, a few I can still recall -- like Bobby Hull, Gordie...

What Greek text did Jerome use?

Looking at what I can see of Houghton's work on Google Books, I found the following interesting on this topic. Speaking of differences in Jerome's translation of the Gospels and the Old Latin, Houghton writes, "Some of the differences in Jerome's version derive from the Greek text on which he...

What Greek text did Jerome use?

Good, and I thank you for that reference. My point in relation to the discussion, however, is that in December 2020 I could not have known that you would provide quotations from a leading authority concerning the Latin New Testament. I could only respond to what you had already posted. Yet, an...

What Greek text did Jerome use?

Modus operandi refers to your method, not your intentions or motives. The fact that you commonly post about KJVO topics led me to wonder about your intent (post # 8) and ask you about it. But the claims you posted you later indicate you do not believe to be accurate, so in effect you were not...

What Greek text did Jerome use?

I am aware of your modus operandi. The question raised in my mind as to why you posted that was whether you had any input about what Greek text or texts Jerome might have used, or just wanted to steer this into some discussion about KJV-only authors.

    Protest less, practice more

Thanks for clearing that up. Which raises an interesting question. Many men who claim to be women want to play women's sports. How many women who claim to be men want to play men's sports? I doubt there are many, a tacit admission that there are biological differences in men & women (which they...

    Protest less, practice more

Thanks. I am always confused by the way "transgender talk" is used. When I looked for something last night, it sounded like a person born as a woman now pretending to be a man.
