Propitiation do you know what it means?

None of those teach PSA. Calvin invented PSA. Nobody saw it in the Bible for 1500 years. That's an inconvenient truth for many Protestants.

Propitiation do you know what it means?

True. And Mennonites don't immerse generally. Church of the Brethren does.

Propitiation do you know what it means?

Not speaking for JonC, but I have already done that, elsewhere. As he said, you wish it showed PSA, but it doesn't. No one saw PSA there until 1500 AD.

Propitiation do you know what it means?

Of course you reference a Reformed site to support your position. So, the inventors of PSA affirm it -- what a revelation! :)

Propitiation do you know what it means?

How does what you say in your first two sentences disagree with what I said? The General Baptists I was talking about were the early ones. But the modern ones are spiritual descendants.

Interesting that you consider context in one place but not another.

So, what church do you go to? I think I know, but I'll wait for your answer.

    MacArthur is not my authority.

    Women pastors

Not to me. Also, why ban women from being pastors but not make them wear head coverings?

Propitiation do you know what it means?

They can't prove PSA from church history or from the Bible. I have asked several times to show me in scripture where it says that Jesus paid the penalty for our sins. They cannot because it is not there. Show me where it says that God punished, tortured, and killed Jesus in our place -- again...

Propitiation do you know what it means?

References which refute it are not accurate. But, yes, we'll have to disagree. I have no desire to fight about it. There were two kinds of early Baptists -- the General, which were first, and the Particular. The Generals had a connection to Mennonites; the Particulars did not.

Propitiation do you know what it means?

Of course not. Only those who hold to doctrines invented in 1500 know what the Bible teaches.

    Women pastors

May I ask, what denomination are you?
  14. N

    Women pastors

Yes, I can see how it would.

Propitiation do you know what it means?

In fact, it is the most unscriptural atonement theory of all. The earliest Christians did not see it there and neither did Christians for the first 1500 years of church history. It took a murderous Protestant Reformer to discover it. Come to think of it, the theory is consistent with his...

    Women pastors

My comments were about being scripturally consistent, which I have found many opposed to women pastors not to be.

Propitiation do you know what it means?

Since you are going to lie and attack, I shall do the same.

Propitiation do you know what it means?

I have explained it in other posts in other threads, but, briefly, the Reformers took the RC Satisfaction theory of the atonement and expanded it into PSA.

Propitiation do you know what it means?

John Smyth, co-founder of the English Baptists, later became a Mennonite.
