The Bible says a lot of things

Are you presenting this as an excuse for them? Mohammad didn't like Christians declaring Jesus as the Son of God, so he writes his own book, makes sure it goes against what God has already revealed through His chosen Apostles, calls it holy, millions follow his lies and you somehow think God is...

The Bible says a lot of things

"But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me." Who are these enemies?

The Bible says a lot of things

"One Lord, one faith, one baptism," Do you believe there are several faiths legitimate before God??

The Bible says a lot of things

Then explain.... "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

The Bible says a lot of things

"Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me". So explain how these who do not love the Lord Jesus Christ are obeying the Father?

The Bible says a lot of things

Wonderful! Now who is this God? Jesus maybe? Whom many Muslims and Jews who love their neighbors despise Him for Him revealing His rightful title as Lord and God?

The Bible says a lot of things

Anytime I see the Pope on TV the people are worshiping him and kissing his hands and feet. Even weeping bc they got a glimpse of him. So this is saluting the office not the man?

The Bible says a lot of things

Wouldn't that depend on one's definition of love? Paul said, "If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha." You believe a person can "love" their neighbor and at the same time hear of the Lord Jesus Christ, reject the Lord Jesus Christ, which is to NOT love the Lord...

The Bible says a lot of things

Does the scripture say anything about those who DO hear of Jesus and reject Him? Do they go to hell?

The Bible says a lot of things

Can you find the title Pope or Vicar of Christ anywheres in there?

    What would you believe...

I don't know how the popes in the beggining taught, but all the ones in my lifetime seem to be afraid to tell the world if you reject Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Lord of all you will be damned to hell. Even the Catholics on this board are afraid to say the truth of the matter.

    What would you believe...

This is true in part, they MUST do their part which is repent of unbelief and call upon the Lord for salvation through faith, nothing physical so I guess the tieing of the rope around oneself may be seen as a work and is not a good example, but faith is not a work. God had not created a plan of...

    What would you believe...

No tap dancing necessary. The answer is both. If you base your beliefs on this faulty premise, then you will absolutely box yourself in with no ability to hear the scriptures. I do not view God's perfect salvation plan as "leaky". If I call down to the person trapped in a well and say grab on...

    What would you believe...

Yes He did. Doesn't make your case for total depravity.

    What would you believe...

Yes, explain to me how Adam was able to respond to God and obey God after he sinned?

    What would you believe...

Actually, God has saved many so far and still is. Yes, obedience by choosing faith in the works of Jesus Christ. Contrary, I have discovered the Faith of Abraham apart from the Law. Correct, to bring us to Christ by faith.

    What would you believe...

You could also explain to me how Adam was able to respond to God and obey God after he sinned?
  18. steaver

    What would you believe...

I doubt it. How about this....sinners are not capable on making a decision for salvation due to them being under bondage of sin and enslaved to the flesh.

    What would you believe...

How would I give you a definition of something that i believe doesn't exist?

    What would you believe...

What are you asking me? To give you Calvin's definition of total depravity?
