Thanks HT :wavey:...I'll definitely check that book out. So far, I've never found an anti-kjv book to be very convincing. I haven't read that one though.

 WOW !! so it do! I've never noticed such a footnote in a KJV...Just checked my Scofield Reference Bible, and it does as well........However, referencing My 1631 kjv Purchased in London for 600pounds (here I AM bragging :D) There is no footnote.

What??? Is your goal to "gotcha" me? Do you think me "miserable"?.... If you did...what then, would convince you that the appropriate reaction would be to "leave" me to it...rather than attempt to help me through it? dude...you aren't making sense...and the reality of it "P.ss.S" you...

So...I would possibly add that I have less respect for the town I was raised in than I used to...because ....you seem to think that that is relevant???? Where you were born or raised is irrelevant....IRRELEVANT...! I love my town...and I have just lost respect for it.

OH...c'mon...we all do. You want to win, and so do I, so does Luke and so does "GreekTim".... I'd take you seriously if you admitted it. Luke would and Greek would...but you refuse to be honest... That's why I have zilch appreciation for your POV about "cussing" and infinite respect for...

[ . The burden of proof exists on both sides. I will quote this post twice:

    Christian Profanity

Yes, it does exist on "both sides" as you said. The"burden of proof" exists on BOTH sides. You present your argument why certain words are inapprorpriate (for English speakers) regardless of circumstance and the opposition will explain why they feel or believe that there is no Scriptural...

    Bible debate

It does....therefore I have far less problem with NASB than I do with others....Many people here seem to find the NASB un-gainly...so they don't like it. I actually do like it. however: unless I am mistaken (I may be)..there is likely a footnote which casts doubt upon the passage. If not...

Honestly...I don't think so. I hope there are, but, I am where I am due to my own studies... Like the issue of Calvinism... I have NEVER read a Pro-Arminian book in my life...never once...I have read about 8 books preaching Calvinism.. Similarly...I once read William Grady's book "Final...

    Christian Profanity

No, it does not. The "burden of proof" exists one the one making any positive assertion. Greek-Tim is not making a positive assertion (at least not any more than you are). Neither YOU, nor Rev.Mitchell are properly applying the principle of "Burden of Proof".... You are here, asking him to...

    Bible debate

No...not so. I don't "prefer" the KJV...and I already stated that I am NOT kjv by tradition....I was raised in a church which used the NASB and NIV. Don't listen merely to the outlined positions that KJVO detractors have. I don't "prefer" it....I think it is VASTLY superior, and that whatever...

    Bible debate

It does WAYYY more...Not "directly" perhaps, but it eats away at the foundation of the Church, and society as a whole. Lemme put it this way: You remove the easy-divorcism in the Church, and within a decade the money and resources and missionaries themselves sent to the mission field would...

Even those heading for hell need a public spokesperson

I knew where Bell was going when I saw this: The entire article can be summed-up here.

Now, with THAT statement, I agree completey !!!:wavey: I stay away from the KJVO thingy myself....I'm nominally KJVO, which is to say that I'm KJVO without teaching it as a doctrine, but a conviction that it is superior and that the TR is superior. I was raised in a church using the NASB or...

When Did idea of Pre trib rapture Come Into Church?

I'm not particularly passionate or vested in Pre-Tribulational Rapturism....I grew up being taught it, but I don't consider myself expert enough to debate it with anyone. Therefore, I don't, and NEVER have. I am perfectly willing to admit that Pre-Trib Rapturalism may, in fact, be false...
