    Pelagianism: The Boogie Man

I believe that most of these people are Christians. I've know many Evangelicals over 35 years, and I've yet to hear one mention "prevenient grace" or anything like it. Speak to the average Evangelical and he tell you that men are able to come to Christ unaided by the Holy Spirit, and that's...

    Pelagianism: The Boogie Man

The label of "semi-Pelagian" is a generous one, for most Evangelicals because most Evangelicals are Pelagian. These terms are not slurs but ways of describing theological positions.

Liberty University's Commencement Speaker a Democrat This Year

Trump's latest tweet: Alec Baldwin, whose dying mediocre career was saved by his terrible impersonation of me on SNL, now says playing me was agony. Alec, it was agony for those who were forced to watch. Bring back Darrell Hammond, funnier and a far greater talent!

Liberty University's Commencement Speaker a Democrat This Year

Yes. They bring in Mormons. Never mind the speakers. LU had Ergun Caner, the blatant liar, on its faculty and defended him for quite some time before accepting what the world already knew.

Liberty University's Commencement Speaker a Democrat This Year

If that's your opinion, we are on two different planets. Trump lacks diplomacy and he's an insecure and immature blowhard. I still like most of his policies but he is an embarrassment as a president.

    Your KJVO myth is false.

I think you mean, "was", John. It was the best translation in 1611, but not now.

Why I am not a Calvinist....

Sounds like she is an adherent of Charles Finney and Billy Graham's version of Christianity.

Issue Made of Texas Democrat Gubernatorial Candidate's PCA Church

The average PCA congregant is against abortion. White should join the PCUSA, or better yet, repent.

Stable Genius Once Again Picking Winners and Losers

Trump is correct on this one.

Liberty University's Commencement Speaker a Democrat This Year

I don't hate him either, but he does talk too much.

Why I am not a Calvinist....

Is she a Calvinist? Not likely. She sounds like the product of Pelagian/Semi-Pelagian-decisional-walk-the-aisle "Christianity.

Why I am not a Calvinist....

Ultimately, I think not. There are some texts which are apparently simple, such as John 3:16, but how well do we understand that verse if we don't understand the Fall? How well do we understand it if we do not understand Federal Headship or the Law?

Why I am not a Calvinist....

I might not use the term, "depends", but I see the five points as logically consistent, while I see so called "four point Calvinists" as being logically inconsistent. If Jesus died for a man that man is pardoned. That's not a difficult concept to grasp, I don't think.

Liberty University's Commencement Speaker a Democrat This Year

As I like to say when I have to "defend" my vote for Trump, I didn't vote for his personality. I voted for his platform.

Issue Made of Texas Democrat Gubernatorial Candidate's PCA Church

I think that the discussion has gotten sidetracked. The point isn't whether or not White could win, it's about whether or not it's appropriate for an elder in the PCA (a generally conservative denomination) to have such views regarding abortion and remain an elder in the PCA.

    Your KJVO myth is false.

I can't believe that this debate never ends. The KJV is among the least accurate translations we have at our disposal today and it's written in archaic language, but if someone has a preference for it, that's fine. I don't think that they will fall into grave error because of the KJV; however...

    Your KJVO myth is false.

I am not separating Christ from the written word. My point was regarding specific *translations* of the texts.

    Does God Have "Free Will"?

That all depends on how one defines the term.
