If once saved - can again be lost? The Poll

The Law of Moses never saved anyone, it was the curse that condemned us. Salvation has been by faith since the Garden.

If once saved - can again be lost? The Poll

The OT saints were saved the same we are by faith being credeited for righteousness. Justification by grace through faith. Ezeckiel 18:21-24 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely...

If once saved - can again be lost? The Poll

Jon, how would you explain the OT Scripture that tells us when a righteous man turns from his righteousness he will die in his sins and all the good he had done will not be remembered?

    Go out in Jesus Name

I'm used the discussing doctrine with fellow IFB believers. We are on track and can cut through this to get to that and still be totally understood. I can't do that here, I have to explain every single detail to be understood.

    Go out in Jesus Name

If I knew how a Catholic thinks I would use the correct words they understand. I've noticed that speaking with Catholics we word everything differently.

    Go out in Jesus Name

Have you ever known anything to be settled between a Catholic and a IFB?

    Go out in Jesus Name

I can't do anything pleasing to God, only being in Christ will God give the Holy Spirit that brings about the opportunity for good works. We don't search out fruit for good works, they are laid daily in our paths.

It's Tough Being a IFB Believer

That makes 2 of us who don't know as single IFB Calvinist. Yes, I agree they/we are all anti-Calvinist. But yet we share many things in common, beginning with salvation is all the Lord's works.

    Go out in Jesus Name

I take no credit for what God has prepared for me to bear fruit. But He gives me credit anyway, credit I don't deserve. Everything is done by the Lord for us, we just have to be walking in the Spirit to be aware of the opportunities.

    Go out in Jesus Name

I'm not far from the end of my journey and I'll finish it depending only on His mercy and Grace.

    Go out in Jesus Name

I've got to get a few hours sleep. What it boils down to is a decision that every person makes whether they realize it or not. Our faith is based on the mercy and grace of God alone through faith, or based on God needing our good works to help us get over the finish line. There is no in...

    Go out in Jesus Name

Well you can keep up with the works added to faith for your salvation, but it will be rejected. It's written plainly for everyone to see, and there can be no excuses.

    Go out in Jesus Name

It can't be any clearer than this from Paul. Eph. 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Salvation is a gift from God through faith in Jesus Christ. It's grace that we are not worthy of...
