What was she ordained to? I don't see anywhere that she is called "Reverend" or that she is a pastor. We have ordained people to the mission field - which is very different than a pastoral ordination.

There are many who have women in the pulpit. One is down the block from us - a PCUSA church which also feels that homosexuality is hunky dory. When on vacation on Block Island in Rhode Island, we went to the local Baptist church...which had a woman pastor. I don't know that I would call them...

So which do you think is more effective? That is what most of us have said - personal one on one evangelism will always be more effective than standing on the street talking to no one.

I don't think I would join it. There are some concerns I have about the church and the leadership but I haven't looked into it enough to have a firm sense of it and would do so if I lived in the area.
