Israel has rejected God when they rejected God with us in Christ. However, God is the reason they are not annihilated. As far as Christians taking up weapons of warfare, well let's just say thank God's children we are not all speaking German.

    The Reprobate Calvinist

The beauty of how the Holy Spirit ultimately speaks through even his children who have embraced false theology. "When they were ready, they "got it" ..........and were then saved". Let that sink in a bit....love it!

    The Reprobate Calvinist

Seriously? You do not understand regeneration, born-again, Christ in you, one with Christ as Christ is one with the Father? Really? You do have a bible, correct?

    The Reprobate Calvinist

So why does God have to harden a heart that is already hard?

The Problem of Regeneration Preceding Faith

So the OT saints new His name? Don't see that in my bible. You know when they found out His name? When Jesus went to Paradise to lead captivity captive.

The Problem of Regeneration Preceding Faith

I believe as soon as Calvinist grasp the bible fact that there is a New Covenant they will begin to understand the gospel. But I sure doubt it unless God removes the blinders of Calvinism for them. It's like the NT is one big parable to them. May God have mercy on them and grant them eyes and...

The Problem of Regeneration Preceding Faith

So the OT saints believed Jesus is the Christ? Oh boy....

    The Reprobate Calvinist

Hmmmm....why would He have to obscure His teaching from those who could not hear it anyways......and harden the hearts of those who had a dead heart anyways.....
  9. steaver

    The Reprobate Calvinist

Well that sure is a different twist indeed. No brother, regeneration is the joining of God to man as one new creation, Christ in you! Without it, no man can enter heaven....

    The Reprobate Calvinist

If you choose to use Isaiah 1:5-6 for a case for total depravity for all men then ALL of Israel was depraved, every single person. Of course not, Isaiah 1:5-6 is speaking about Israel as a nation. Isaiah even states there is a remnant of true believers preserved by God's mercy. No one preserves...

    The Reprobate Calvinist

You present Isaiah 1:5-6 as proof all men are Totally depraved?? Isaiah 1 is speaking of the nation Israel, which the Lord hath "nourished and brought up" and they as a nation has rebelled against Him. Yet there has always been a remnant of true believers which pleases the LORD and whom the LORD...

    The Reprobate Calvinist

I don't see it as a guy thing. The positions force an either or. You can't be pro Calvinism and neutral non Calvinism at the same time. The two oppose each other. Btw. You still did not answer my question about what all the OT saints did not receive before the cross.

The Problem of Regeneration Preceding Faith

The Apostle John made it perfectly clear the Comforter/Holy Spirit was not given until Jesus Christ was glorified (chp7). The New Testament is ALL about the New Covenant/New Heart. Regeneration is not found in the OT saints. Calvinism must create the false premise that regeneration must happen...

    The Reprobate Calvinist

A small sect of Christians do believe that to be true. I have thoroughly researched it and find TULIP's version to be incorrect.
  16. steaver

    The Reprobate Calvinist

It all boils down to calvinism's version verses the bible's version. I believe in the bible's version of depravity.

    The Reprobate Calvinist

Still waiting Robust..... You did not answer my question. So what is it you see as the OT saints having not received prior to the cross?
  18. steaver

    The Reprobate Calvinist

Oh! Then you are pro Arminianism. Good. How could I be anti-Calvinism and pro-Calvinism at the same time?

    Short memory there brother......

    The Reprobate Calvinist

No one can come to God on his own merits. This is a false premise. One is saved by grace alone through faith alone.
