Why so much Angst About Limited atonement?

I would say we are saved by both. Actually Jesus is eternal life, He only died physically. Without that physical death, no one could be saved by His life. He gives this living water when we call upon Him by faith.

    Regeneration w/o Living Water?

The Apostle John, who penned the Gospel of John on behalf of the Holy Spirit concerning this being born from above, declared this Spirit regeneration spoken of was not yet given. And you declare that it was. Now you want me to believe you over John. Was the Spirit/Living Water given before...

    Regeneration w/o Living Water?

And then we have the Apostle John who is actually speaking on behalf the Holy Spirit Himself.... "(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)"

    Regeneration w/o Living Water?

I am so sorry brother. Can you ever forgive me? I'm glad it is in there. Makes it perfect arminian preaching. Again, please forgive me. I feel just awful. I know no Calvinist ever missed a line. Blessings!!!

    Regeneration w/o Living Water?

Out of all the debates found between the brethren pertaining to interpretations of scripture, this one on the living water sure reveals how one's indoctrination blinds one from what is so obviously clear to any unbiased reader. John makes a declaration about Jesus.... "In the last day, that...

    Regeneration w/o Living Water?

Excellent brother Willis! This is exactly what non-Cals preach. The Spirit must reveal the truth. Notice you left out the part where she asked for this living water, she never received it though did she? But she did believe. She didn't receive it yet because the Spirit was not yet given...

Must Believe That He Is God!

Jer 31:31-34 - "Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Spot on! Hint; new covenant - new birth - Christ is you - law written on the heart - Gentiles who did not have the law now showing the law...

    Regeneration w/o Living Water?

Here is one for you brother, do you have any young children or grandchildren? Pour a glass of water and offer it to one of them, and say, drink this glass of water so you can get thirsty. See if they get it.

    Regeneration w/o Living Water?

AMEN! Spot on brother! That sure sounds good for Calvinism's cause, however, it is not what Jesus said. Jesus said anyone who thirst may come and be given "living water". And what did Jesus say would happen afterwards? They shall NEVER thirst. Thus Calvinism's theology of the giving of living...

    Regeneration w/o Living Water?

This is why debates remain debates. All the hopping around from topic to topic. This thread is about the living water (eternal life) Jesus said He would give to those who thirst. You still have this to answer..... "So God gives them the living water first so they then get thirsty?"

    Regeneration w/o Living Water?

Your response has been refuted by scripture itself. My follow up question for you has yet to be answered by anyone. Have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe you have me mixed up with someone else. I have never placed anyone on ignore, neither do I post personal attacks and make fun of...

    Regeneration w/o Living Water?

Ok, you have to stay on topic brother. The living water is IN YOU. You do not have to come everyday and get re-saved. Jesus said the living water He shall give you shall be in you and you shall NEVER thirst!!!!! You have to understand, the subject is eternal life here, not spiritual growth.

Must Believe That He Is God!

Jer 31:31-34 - "Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my...

Must Believe That He Is God!

Surely you understand that phrase is speaking of the whole of Jesus' ministry on earth, when the new birth would be implemented. You really need to read Hebrews chapters 8 through 10 brother. It baffles my mind that Calvinist miss the whole point of the New Testament.

Must Believe That He Is God!

So when God said the day is coming when He will do a new thing, your reply is no God just the same old thing you have always been doing.
