    Small group ministry

Thanks Tom; we use the monthly fellowship events to invite visitors, prospects, ask our group members to invite friends, etc. We go bowling, or putt putt, or some other group thing to join in fellowship with some (hopefully) newcomers. We are praying currently for a few mission projects in...

    Small group ministry

Good day, Was wanting to get some feedback from some of you who are or have been involved in a small group/home study ministry? Would like some thoughts/suggestions to how you went about your studies? Was it book by book studies? Themed studies? Others? Did your group adopt any missions...

    "Poor in Spirit"

    Yes, that's it!!

    "Poor in Spirit"

I think Christ was speaking of those who realize that they are spiritually bankrupt and cannot for themselves amass spiritual riches without help, the help that Christ provides for those who come to him.

    How big is too big

If you have a church that is active in evangelism and outreach and has a ministry of education and is worshipping and serving God as a church body, is it really problematic whether that church has a membership of 50 or 5,000 or any number in between? If the Lord's work is being done, does it...

    KJV Study Bible

We have used the Life Application Study Bible for a few years now, and have thoroughly enjoyed the notes and helps that it provides. As with all study bibles, it is from a differing person or groups perspective so there might be some minor things that one would question or disagree with, but I...

    Small study group ideas

Good morning all, So glad to be back on here. I had taken a break from a lot of forums and internet groups but things have lagged a bit and I find some time to come back and fellowship with other believers. A question for those who will; We are praying and considering starting a small bible...

I think the "holiday" protest backfired

That is not exactly correct. Knowing a number of Wal Mart associates in and around the Little Rock area, I quizzed them about this, and none of them stated that they were told by anyone within the Wal Mart company not to say Merry Christmas at any time while they're at work.

Is faith alone enough to save?

Then I have to go back to my question: Where was the thiefs "fruit"? How was the thief justified if he had no works to give evidence of "genuine salvation"?? Why make this harder than it really is?

Is faith alone enough to save?

But he wasn't submersed under water to complete his salvation. His testimony being placed within scripture wasn't his doing, so that wasn't a work that he did. This person was saved by Christ without doing anything other than believing Christ was Lord, and receiving Christs' promise that he...

It is Christian to Oppose Christmas!

It is Christian to Oppose Christmas!

I had a long, exhaustive response to this...but you know what? I'm not going to do it, as I don't think it really deserves it. Merry Christmas everyone!!
