Ann, you didn't include the link! They are in the congregation. Latterly, because of health'n'safety issues, the service/ worship leader has suggested that people, partiuclarly children, come to the front to wave them or parade up and down the (relatively wide) aisles, to avoid poking people...

We have them in our church - see here (slide show on home page). Can't say I care for them much personally. Rom 12:11 - "do not flag in zeal.":smilewinkgrin:

What the OP describes is not social democracy, which is a left-of-centre political philosophy; it reads more like social conservatism.

Theologically correct, yes. Right to say it qua governor, probably not, unless I missed the memo that the US was a theocracy.
