Marine Leaves Because of Moral Reasons....

We're not putting this man down. We're commenting on the ignorant assumptions that other military members are not speaking up.

Marine Leaves Because of Moral Reasons....

I think that qualifies for at least post of the week. Might I add, I had a pastor ask this question: if all the Christians leave, who's left to fulfill the great commission?

    Define biblical marriage

wow, we can find some of the weirdest stuff to disagree on. My two cents to this odd-ball discussion: If we try to limit "biblical marriage" to a purely physical connection, then we completely ignore Ephesians 5 that says "like Christ loves the church, and gave Himself for it." If our...

    New Experiment

So I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S3; when I get confirmation that it'll be shipped, I'll also procure an HDMI adapter (so I can hook it up to a larger monitor or even a TV), along with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I'll use Google Docs for my documents and spreadsheets. Might consider signing up...

Congressmen urge the UN to trample the US Constitution

You're mixing apples and oranges, my misguided friend. The civilian military is already in place, and being used against the citizens. You're thinking "rebels" and "domestic terrorists," as they'll be called.

    Defending our Military

Lady Eagle - I wasn't going to respond to that post; but since you decided to do so, please allow me to add: The 1st Barbary War was to protect US ships and citizens against pirates. Check out the 2nd Barbary War, where the US decided to send ships to defend enslaved Christians. But hey, we're...

Congressmen urge the UN to trample the US Constitution

Free, you're more blind than you realize. The government has already installed its own military, in the form of Homeland Security and TSA; and will be installing more in the form of 16,500 armed IRS agents. It's the "how do you boil a frog?" scenario. You're not going to see military uniformed...

HUD threatens Galveston with loss of funds

ITL, the only thing I might differ with you on is: the new mayor's not saying "don't build the housing." He's espousing that they allow a private contractor to do it. But in that part, I agree with an earlier comment that there was probably an agreement between the new mayor and the private...

    Defending our Military

As you previously posted to me: When I'm wrong, I'll admit it.

    Defending our Military

By the way, an Air Force C-130 crashed the other day, killing 4 of the crew members. They were helping with firefighting efforts in South Dakota. They were doing their best to help preserve land and homes of American citizens. I refer you back to post #27 in this thread.

    Defending our Military

If you'll recall, Poncho said "for over a hundred years"; that implies a continual effort, and thus why I specified between 1912 and 1991. You had to go back more than 200 years to provide an example. So if you really want to help out Poncho, stay within the parameters: which muslim towns and...

HUD threatens Galveston with loss of funds

Okay, I don't get your message here at all. The new mayor during his campaign said he wouldn't allow this--and got elected. Did he get elected on the promise that he would get them one-for-one vouchers, which the government is now saying they won't do? If so, it's a broken campaign promise, and...

American Sacred Cow #1 - Military Pay

Something that Woody left out, that several of us who have been prior military have had as part of their duties/responsibilities: Woody also has to work the convoy request, identifying personnel and routes. In other words, he assigns who goes out on the road, possibly to never come back. It's...

    Defending our Military

Now you've got me curious; between 1912 and 1991, what muslim towns and cities were we blowing up? What muslim lands were we occupying? What muslim resources were we dividing up? All I can think of is Libya and Iran, and those were both in response to actions taken against the US. So please...

Russia's Medvedev visits disputed Pacific islands

Seems to me the Japanese have been dealing with it for 60+ years; US should only get involved if asked; and then only with diplomatic processes.

Russia's Medvedev visits disputed Pacific islands

So you say that you would support military action against Russia, but when I ask what exactly justifies military action against Russia--which, as Targus pointed out, you're usually dead-set against brainwashing military members more than you think they already are--all you can give me is a...

    Liberty or Death?

As I thought. You accused me of lying, but can't prove it; and you refuse to be Christian enough to apologize for it.

    Defending our Military

He's not going to, because he'll have to admit that he started down a path that he didn't really want to go; that by answering the question I asked about him following Saul, he'll have to admit that he'd be doing the same thing that he wants our military members to *not* do; and so on. So just...

American Sacred Cow #1 - Military Pay

You are aware that military pay taxes, too? In essence, paying a portion of their own paychecks? I'll go through the RMC data later today. As someone else on this board is fond of saying lately, let's make sure we're comparing apples to apples. Is a grocery store manager comparable to a...
