    Eschatology

Some would say that God didn't kill those family members, that Satan did. I've heard that many times. Some would also say that, even if true, God could have prevented it but didn't. That may also be true. As to the why, I don't know and don't believe anyone can know, unless God reveals it to...

    The Quaker revival

    Oh, okay. Thanks for explaining.

    The Quaker revival

Sounds like you're in a crisis of faith. I am there, too.

    Eschatology

If He created but doesn't intervene, that sounds like Deism to me.

    The Quaker revival

I've looked at the Quakers, and just about everybody else, too. I like the Anabaptists, Mennonites, and Quakers a lot -- well, what they used to be more than what they are now.

    Policy question

Thank you for your kind post, and generous offer to help. I'll be glad to accept help from anyone, so I appreciate it. I have a severe low back condition that keeps me from driving long distances. Probably 30 minutes one way is about all I could take, but I'd rather have something much closer...

    PSA Justice vs Biblical Justice

This is an excellent thread. So far, I have found no need to reply to the details. I'm just enjoying reading it.

    Policy question

I've not attended church regularly since Covid. The church I was going to then had its pastor retire and move; I was close with him -- a great guy. I visited a church recently but didn't return there. I really have nobody presently.

    Annihilation

If someone really believes in eternal torment, do you spend every free moment trying to get as many saved as possible? If not, why not? One person in this thread said that hell makes her sad. Hell makes me sad, too, but what makes me the saddest is the idea that a loving, just, and merciful...

    Policy question

If I am having a problem with my faith -- struggling with my faith -- am I allowed to post here? I don't want to violate any forum rules.

    Annihilation

Thanks for your post, and the link. This is one of the best articles I've read on the subject -- excellent.

    Satisfaction Atonement

Charlie, I believe you're a good person. You're don't come across as belligerent or aggressive. I believe we can disagree on some things without the hostility that I have encountered from some, and in other places. Discussion is possible with you because of that, and I'm enjoying the discussion...

    Satisfaction Atonement

I agree with much of your post. What I disagree with is the 'wrath of God' part -- that is PSA and unscriptural.
  14. E

    Satisfaction Atonement

I totally agree with your last sentence. I totally disagree with your second sentence.

    Women Pastors?

I guess we see legalism differently.
  16. E

    Satisfaction Atonement

I feel sorry for people who believe PSA, who hold to such a monstrous view of God. It is a pagan concept.
  17. E

    Satisfaction Atonement

    The latter.
  18. E

    Satisfaction Atonement

No, I don't believe God did something against His will, because I do not believe that God punished and killed Jesus. If it has been His will to do so, He would have. Isaiah says we thought that's what God did , but we were mistaken. God could not have done that; it was impossible because that...
  19. E

    Satisfaction Atonement

PSA holds that God punished and killed Jesus. Isaiah 53 contradicts that. And the theory is an insult to God's character.

    Women Pastors?

And I hope the "christians" who turned him away weren't relying on their name of 'Christian' to save them on judgement day.
