Forced morality. Christ does not use politics to convert people.Which has what to do with politics ?
Law = forced morality.Politics is forced morality ?
No, because the bible teaches this. But do we evangelize with it? Of course not. Neither do we evangelize by bolstering one political party over another.Just curious. Would refusing to let a woman preach in your church be a political issue ? Would it drive people away ?
Of course, but in Christ's name only, and not in the name of politics.Should preachers tell their congregation how damaging unwed motherhood has been to our nation ?
I believe it is good to expose corruption, if we do not politicise it, and treat all corruption with the same fairness.Should preachers talk about corruption in to local city administration ?

Thanks for keeping this interesting. It's a good way to evaluate our beliefs.Answer those four and we can move on.
I believe it is good to expose corruption, if we do not politicise it, and treat all corruption with the same fairness.
But, the gospel is different from politics. The gospel actually works if you don't drive people away first with politics.Nor does he abandon morality. Christ uses truth including the truth about morality. If you abandon morality you abandon truth. If you abandon truth, you abandon the gospel.
You can speak out against corruption based on the Ten Commandments alone. You don't nee politics. In other words, corruption is wrong, unless it's political corruption. Then it's okay.
I can't think of a more twisted confusing message. You'll lose seekers left and right with this message.
But, the gospel is different from politics. The gospel actually works if you don't drive people away first with politics.
I think we speak the same as long as we remain politically neutral. Then everyone listens to us. Drag politics into it, and we're back preaching to the choir.Ok. So I gave you many examples of things people on the outside could view as political messages and at the least, are very divisive issues. By your awnwers I can only conclude that you agree with me, that if a truthful sermon touches a political nerve in a listener, it’s on the listener and the preacher should not worry about the receptions of his congregation, or any human criticism at all for that matter, and let the Holy Spirit lead him.
