JonC,

Hello JonC,

Why should Christians work to have a secular government discriminate against people because of their sexual preferences?
Clearly, we are taught to seek kingdom things, both now and in the age to come.
Deut4;
5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.

6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;

Why should Christians sit in judgment over a world that is already condemned?
27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

28 For the kingdom is the Lord's: and he is the governor among the nations.

29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

It seems to me the better thing for Christians to do is reach other people with the gospel.

Why not both? If we are still the early church it will take time for these verses to be fulfilled. psalm 72
7 In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.

8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

9 They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.

Yes. I believe the Kingdom of God is not of this World, that Christians are called "out of" the World to be a separate people.

This is strange, I agree. It goes against "human wisdom" and is foolish to many.

I agree yet I also believe God allowed this country to be established from the mother country as a republic, not as the kingdom of God, to elect, as well as could be determined by human minds, moral men to serve as rulers.

Lust has gotten in the way. See James 1:13,14

There may have never been a better, man, to be President than Jimmy Carter yet I would never consider his Presidency to be a success.

Exactly and amen. All people will be gathered and God will separate them. But there is only one race that will be separated from the rest. This is Hod's people, a chosen race, a priesthood of believers.

So you need to choose the people (race or nation) to which you will belong. Do you want to join the people who will be condemned (the World) or God's people?

You cannot do both. Chose who you will follow. It is that simple.

What will be the purpose of their priesthood?

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

What is the purpose of their reigning?

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Rev 5:10

Well they kings and priests of God but who will they be kings and priests, to?

Will there at this time be day and night? Is every person going to be a king and or priest? Will there be any kind of economy on going. Schools? Factories?

What is going to be going on, on the earth, for this thousand years?

Exactly and amen? You didn't even know there were goat and sheep nations. You acted as if it were a crazy idea. Now you are 'exactly and amen'.

Now you attempt to dismantle the verse. You attempt to dismantle the nations into just individual people. You attempt to make it speak to only two groups of people the saved and the lost. But God said nations, because He meant nations. You discredit the Word of God.

Which brings me back to my question. If the believer shouldn't care if his nation is a sheep or goat, why does God judge the nations. (Matt. 25:31-32)

My emotions are in check. I just don't like Communists or their useful idiots. That means I don't like you. No emotion to it. I don't like strawberry ice cream and I don't like you. Zero emotion there.

Jon, your theology is getting as bad as Van's!
I see it as Christian capitalism.... a little capricious perhaps, but capitalism none the less.

I remember taking a history class in college as an elective.... British and European history. I’m fascinated by history to be honest. Turns out the entrepreneurial class in Britain in the early days of the industrial revolution used their own money to build canals and roads and bridges to encourage trade and commerce and that improved the lives of the citizens, further pushing them to produce. See and so I like productive people who get up off their arses and look for circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them they make them. And that’s the definition of Capitalism. And that my Limey friend is what our two countries had in common before people got tired of working. Politics is merely a means to use people and their tax money. You should learn to use politics as a means to make money... basically cause they are all greedy mothers

That's funny considering you are the biggest blow hard on this board. You the one who says "F" you to folks. You the one who threatens punches in the face. It's obvious your above post is describing yourself.
