But that does not mean that an unbeliever cannot exercise saving faith when they trust in Jesus. We are saved by grace through faith. So a measure of faith MUST exist prior to salvation to be saved through it.The bible says faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,” (Galatians 5:22)
Try picking an apple where an apple tree does not exist.
The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is subsequent to the moment we are born again. We are not indwelt by the Spirit prior to salvation. You cannot believe unless you have the Holy Spirit. Faith is a fruit thereof.
Believing with the flesh cannot save. The Catholics use this in their sacramental scheme. Only Holy Spirit faith saves. But that does not mean that an unbeliever cannot exercise saving faith when they trust in Jesus. We are saved by grace through faith. The new birth is salvation and faith is the fruit. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is subsequent to the moment we are born again. We are not indwelt by the Spirit prior to salvation.
You were born again or you would not have believed.I believed the gospel and I was saved. My Salvation came the moment that I believed willingly.

You are putting the cart before the horse. You are not born again and then believe. You were born again or you would not have believed.
Jesus is the author and finisher (beginning and end) of our faith. You are putting the cart before the horse. You are not born again and then believe.
Saying yes to the Gospel is what is required. Placing one's faith in Jesus when one hears the Gospel is how we are saved. You are setting up an idea that is not expressed in the Bible. The faith by which we are saved is a different category than the faith spoken of as a fruit of the Spirit.Believing with the flesh cannot save. The Catholics use this in their sacramental scheme. Only Holy Spirit faith saves.
Only born again people say yes to the gospel. The rest think it is foolishness.Saying yes to the Gospel is what is required. Yes, but that does not address what I said. You cannot be born again prior to having saving faith. Sorry, but you are pushing a theology that is not rooted in sound doctrine.Jesus is the author and finisher (beginning and end) of our faith.
Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit (salvation).Dave you are denying what scripture actually says;
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
We are saved by grace through faith. If one does not have faith first for grace to come through one cannot be saved.

They are not born again before they say yes to Jesus. Again, this is not sound doctrine. This is just something you are making up.Only born again people say yes to the gospel. The rest think it is foolishness.
Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.............Yes, but that does not address what I said. You cannot be born again prior to having saving faith. Sorry, but you are pushing a theology that is not rooted in sound doctrine.
Not saving faith. That is not the "faith" that is being referred to in Galatians 5Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit (salvation).
They can't say yes to Jesus unless they are born again. They think it's foolishness otherwise. They are not born again before they say yes to Jesus. Again, this is not sound doctrine. This is just something you are making up.
You need to read the Greek: "Faithulness" (pistis) is what Paul is referring to. "Faith (pistos) is not a fruit of the Spirit.Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.............
The flesh cannot develop saving faith. Not saving faith. That is not the "faith" that is being referred to in Galatians 5
It's all the same fruit of the Holy Spirit. You need to read the Greek: "Faithulness" (pistis) is what Paul is referring to. "Faith (pistos) is not a fruit of the Spirit.
No, that is not biblical and you are in serious error when it comes to something as basic as salvation. The Bible teaches that we are to place faith in Christ first then we are saved. They can't say yes to Jesus unless they are born again. They think it's foolishness otherwise.
