He was making a not so subtle point. He was intentionally asking questions as absurd, yet polar opposite the questions of the Dems.

All of them. He was simply enraging the Dems.
I agree Cruz did a good job addressing the Democrat talking points.
I agree. The problem is by doing so he delegitimized the confirmation hearing as a real confirmation hearing. We all know the underlying politics. But by giving a political speech (I agree with the content) and refusing to publicly review the candidate he only served to reinforce the Democrats idea that the confirmation hearing itself is a sham.
I like his comments, just not the venue.The problem is he behaved exactly like the Dems.
I was looking forward to his time. I guess I was just expecting a more clever use of the format (addressing the Dems via the responses Barrett would give based on questions asked).

Hirono was disgusting. Always is. She knew the answer already. She's a walking spectacle. Cruz is a rock star. He's giving the American people perspective. And his colleagues support him in it.

The problem is he hijacked the hearing. I agree with what he said.
If a preacher delivers jokes and stories without ever preaching God's words I would equally object even if I liked the jokes and stories.
It's amazing how you blame-shift. Cruz had no part in the current direction of these hearings. They were off course a long time ago.
What questions should he ask her? They already know the answers. What is the point.
I am glad. I have been saying for many years we have to play just as dirty as the Dems. Taking The high road is running us off a cliff.

The Democrats look stupid no matter what they do. But the U.S. is full of many stupid people. Offer them that carrot, and get their vote. Forty acres and a mule.
The Democrats could win the election. Then watch what they do to the Supreme Court.
The U.S. set this crisis in motion with the reconstruction amendments. Now we get to live it out. Rule by Judiciary.
