The Democrats look stupid no matter what they do. But the U.S. is full of many stupid people. Offer them that carrot, and get their vote. Forty acres and a mule.

The Democrats could win the election. Then watch what they do to the Supreme Court.

The U.S. set this crisis in motion with the reconstruction amendments. Now we get to live it out. Rule by Judiciary.

Quantrill
Yes, the Democrats looked stupid no matter what they do. I just wish Cruz did not join them. He recovered a little today. They didn't.

Doesn't matter how they look....:Biggrin
Exactly. Despite looking like fools, they get results. The American populous has dropped to a level where decency is not appreciated. I don't care how they look, I care what results they get. They can show up in diapers sucking a bottle if it works.

Problem is both sides get results. Democrats will always see the dishonesty in the Republican Party and Republicans will always see the dishonesty in the Democrat Party.

Us politically homeless guys see both parties acting like fools.

Which group of "fools" has a platform of evil?

He is. And he also did a very good job addressing Barrett.

My only complaint is when the Senate delegitimizes the actual hearing to use it as a political platform. We all know politics is involved. But many Democrats use their time to address the audience with their political message concerning Trump or tge GOP. They can do this because they insist the hearing is a sham.

Everything in politics is political. The more Republicans that begin to understand this the better. If you're in politics your life is a job interview.

It's not a real problem, is the point. The fact is, politics is a 24/7 job interview.
And that is the problem....it is a 24/7 interview, always striving to maintain power which is viewed more important than those from whom they seek that power.

I've been thinking more about this, @Calminian .

What bothers me really is not politics but political agendas. Political arguments consist of parties discussing their position, why their position is better, and the implications of those positions.

What passes for politics today is not true politics but political posturing. That is what we see. One side attacks the other and tries to scare people out of their vote.

I don't understand the distinction. Perhaps it's too nuanced.
