Great trees, folks!

Diane, that's a cute kitty! As far as names go, I like Checkers, Patches and Chrissy. You could name her Christmas and call her Chrissy. Peggy Sue is not bad, either. (Absolutely NO help when ya like All the names, huh?)

ahem.... Bad Dr. Bob! Bad! Coal in YOUR stocking too!

Jon just called. His car won't start. He's a good hour from here. He just got a new battery a few months ago but he thinks that's what it is again. Old car.... Jim may have to drive and get him late tonight. Santa needs some assembly help so hope they aren't TOO late.

We're all dressed for our Christmas Eve service and will be leaving soon. I changed my mind and put on a dark green velvet dress with matching suede boots.

Roger...what kind of a name is Ethel for a cat  Poor lil kitty is far too pretty to be called something like Ethel.

I have had a lovely evening. I have made three dozen mince pies, another batch of Christmas pudding mix and iced the Christmas cake. I still have two or three presents to wrap and a card to write out and then I can fall into bed.

This is a much needed coffee break.

my vote for the kitt'y name is "Holly" and my two girls think you should name her "Cinderella".

No Roger...you still haven't got the hang of this pet naming have you...

Talking of pets, Leo has already opened one of his presents  We took it from him and re-wrapped it. Now he is shut out of the dining room where the tree and presents are. :D

Oh - we are back from WalMart. It actually wasnt that bad. There WERE men in camo carrying around small appliances. Every year they come out!! The food processors were on sale for $10 and I had told DH that's what he could get me for Christmas. I have always wanted one. I thought he had gotten one, but today when we saw them he thold me I could get it if I wanted it. He had heard all his life not to get a woman a small appliance as a gift. And on our way to the register, someone stopped and asked us where we found it - he needed one too!!
I love it.
Well, I am off to play "Cootie" with the girls.

I agree with Dr. Bob....We had Chinese the other day, and if a person really is what they eat, I know why I was "meow"ing! It truly did "taste like chicken"! ;) Diane, I have some Chinese neighbors, and they want to know if they can have your cat! LOL

Go ahead, Diane...name her "Dinna" (in a NY accent!)

Merry Christmas!

The two Super Wal Marts here were PACKED! It was so packed people were actually pushing people out of the way to get their last minute items. Shameful! I was glad when we finally got back home!

We had the most touching and beautiful candlelight communion service. The scripture was read by a number of our men and included the whole passage reread by our Hispanic minister in Spanish. We sang many of the older Christmas songs and communion was given by four of our ministers to families and friends in groups. VERY touching. Our retired pastor gave the communion message. Dr. Marlowe is 85 and had us all ready to jump in the sky to meet the Lord. VERY inspiring time.

We took a ride to view some of the more beautiful Christmas displays. Some have gotten pretty well known so people were lined up to view them. We had Sandi Patty's Christmas CD on in the car.

The pies are in the oven and Nick's about to bust he's so excited.

Hope you're all having as lovely a time!

Ken, I think Roger is going to sleep with one eye open so he can watch for Rudolph.
