Why do you see God sanctifying us as the first step? We are finally saved unto eternal life through sanctification - where does it say in Scriptures that the whole process of redemption begins with sanctification though? In fact, Rom 6:22 places sanctification after one's being set free from sin and becoming a servant of God.
1 Peter 1:2, ". . . according to the foreknowledge of God the Father,
through sanctification of the Spirit,
unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: . . ."
2 Thessalonians 2:13, ". . . from the beginning chosen you
to salvation
through sanctification of the Spirit . . ."
Now "fruit." Romans 6:22, ". . . ye have your fruit
unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. . . ." John 6:47, ". . .He that believeth on me
hath everlasting life." Fruit into what one already has been given.
Galatians 5:22-23, ". . . the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: . . ."
Ephesians 5:9, ". . . the fruit of the Spirit
is in all goodness and righteousness and truth; . . ."
John 17:17, ". . . Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. . . ." (Romans 10:17 faith from hearing).
