The means and the propitiation are two separate things and you seem oblivious to this truth.Once again the Calvinist spreads disinformation. Let us count the ways:
1) Christ's death was ineffective for many. Here the false doctrine that Christ's death propitiated those He died for is put forth. And the actual doctrine, Christ's death provided the means for all humankind to be saved is ignored.
2) Next, did anyone claim 1 Peter 2:9-10 was not addressing the elect? Nope But note how the bogus rebuttal ignores that once they were not a people, and they would have always been a people if the false claim of individual election before creation were true.
I believe anyone who actually considers scripture will come the the same conclusion I came to, that Calvinism is precluded by scripture, over and over again.
And here is what Van actually posted:AustinC said:And here we see the contradiction again.
"Jesus propitiated the whole world...but not really.
Van said:Jesus being the propitiation for the whole world does not mean Jesus propitiated the whole world.

So first the Calvinist misrepresents my view, and then (Post # 61) denies it.
Ask yourselves folks, why do Calvinists need to dishonor truth?
Answer, Calvinism is false doctrine and only by disparaging others and using disinformation can a pathetic defense be made.
It would do you a bit of good to acknowledge this. to take a closer look at what you have said. Because all the twisting of scripture that you do. To misguide others into Calvinism with your false interpretations of scripture. And adding your false philosophy to it..Every insult, every mocking comment, every belittle, every bit of withering scorn that we could possibly unload upon our fellow man, every "little" slam that comes off our keyboards, out of our mouths and out of our hearts...
Will be called into account, utilyan.
Not one little jab at anyone will escape His notice and judgment.
It's all written down, utilyan:
" And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works." ( Revelation 20:14 ).
Count on it happening.
Christ is the appeasement of wrath (propitiation) only for them who believe in Christ.
I did already !respond to #50
So God isnt appeased by the Death of Christ for one Christ died for unless the person performs an activity ? Yes or No ?So for example if you want to have the appeasement of God's wrath for you, the propitiation of your sins, you must believe in Jesus Christ, follow Him.
Otherwise you have no appeasement or propitiation, no forgiveness and you go to hell, you die in your sins.
So yes Christ is the propitiation, the atoning sacrifice for the sins of all the world, but the blood must be applied individually.
Just what the 'Passover' is all about, when death passes over, passes by your house, it passed by you because the blood of the lamb was applied over the doorway of your house.
Just about everyone here knows Calvinist believe they were saved so they can believe. even though all through scripture It says to believe and then you'll be saved. Calvinist believe there own deception when what they believe isn't in scripture. Paul told the Jailer;scott down
Okay, but they weren't born believers ! So was Christ the appeasement of Gods wrath for them before they believed and were yet unbelievers ?
You create a false narrative and then double down on your false narrative. There is nothing false at all about what I have said to you. You still twist scripture and misrepresent the Gospel. What you claim is false and you know it and is why you are unable to defend your false gospel. You can't prove me wrong with scripture so you launch a personal attack trying to save face.. LOLYou create a false narrative and then double down on your false narrative. It would do you a bit of good to acknowledge this.

Of course not, you posted disinformation and now lack the integrity to admit it. Disgusting.Van wrote:

Anyone reading what you wrote can see your contradiction. There is no need for me to elaborate.
The means and the propitiation are two separate things and you seem oblivious to this truth.
The propitiation isn't just a means, it is effectual. You even state that when you limit the propitiation to those who believe. Yet, you contradict yourself by saying the propitiation is for everyone, but it's not for everyone. Go read what you actually wrote instead of falling on your calvinism crutch as an attempt to ignore your contradiction.
I quote you and you call it disinformation. I cannot make it up.Of course not, you posted disinformation and now lack the integrity to admit it. Disgusting.
I said the world was not propitiated and you suggest I said Jesus propitiated the whole world .. but not really.
This is all the Calvinists have, posting false and misleading posts to hide the fact Calvinism is obviously
Here, once again the noun is claimed to be a verb.
I did not limit the means of salvation to those who believe, the means of salvation is available to all. On and on folks, one falsehood after a another non-stop.
Here is what I actually said:
"Only those placed into Christ receive the reconciliation provided by Christ's sacrificial death."
You didn't answer my questionJust about everyone here knows Calvinist believe they were saved so they can believe. even though all through scripture It says to believe and then you'll be saved. Calvinist believe there own deception when what they believe isn't in scripture. Paul told the Jailer;

You sure he didn’t say “cross your fingers and hope God chose you from the foundation to be zapped and saved so you can believe.”?Act 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Okay, but they weren't born believers ! So was Christ the appeasement of Gods wrath for them before they believed and were yet unbelievers ?
You sad NO, thats a discredit to the death of Christ friend ! Also no where in the verse does it say the wrath of God was on anyone !No, they had the wrath of God on them like the others, but God made a difference between them like Ephesians 2 says.
So we were not them, we were different because of the love God had for us before time began, that is when were were called, and that is according to the power of God.
Ephesians 2
1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
2 Timothy 1
8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,
9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,
10 but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,
He is the propitiation for our sins:
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Folk, Gods wrath isn't and cant be appeased for sinners His wrath abideth on !
