It just occurred to me that this is a self-limiting doctrine. If all ME folks assume that the MINORITY of Christians will escape 1,000 years of hell, and they also assume they are among the minority, then they dare not evangelize their views to the majority of Christians. Once ME believers represent the majority, they KNOW for sure that most of them will end up in the hell they predict for others.

Ummm. Then what are we doing advocating for this doctrine on this board, isn't that what you're complaining about? If you're right, then wouldn't we be trying to keep it secret? Interesting paradox... (Angry Beaver music).

I think the ignore option is ridiculous in this case...
If you don't want to debate then why did you sign up to be apart of BB?

We are in the debate section, and it is hard to debate when you don't know what others are saying... right?

I personally think the ignore option should be dis allowed in the debate section of the board...
It makes a thread like this look ridiculous to those of us that don't have anyone on our ignore list...

Listen... I am opposed to the ME, or KS, or what ever you want to call it... but I am not going to put it's proponents on ignore....

We are BAPTISTS for crying out loud... whenever there are 2 baptists in a room, you have 5 different opinions on anything!!

I disagree with a few folks on here on a few things... but I don't call them heretics... I may think they are misguided, but I have yet to see anyone say that Jesus is not the Christ, or that He is not God...

So come on guys, either debate, or don't debate, but this is being a little childish... really... if this catches on, it will make threads unbearable.

And like Rufus said, you can ignore without the ignore function... it is called self control....

I hope no one has me on ignore, or this post would be totally useless!

If I am not mistaken (which never happens, me being mistaken), during the the 1000 year reign there will be non-christians among Christians again on Earth. Because Satan will still be out and about stirring up problems and trying for one last go at it. There will be children born at that time, there will be those who are psuedo-christians, saying the right things, but believing something different. So how does the Christian with no works, no fruit end up in hell for 1000 years. Right? See that's the quick question.


Again I maybe mistaken, but that isn't likely.

In all seriousness... the medium of the message board is not the best way to debate... there is so much in body language that is missing here that I wonder sometimes how much of that effects our debates...

IOWS, If you and I were sitting across from each other in a physical room, I wonder what it would be like to discuss issues...

The tale of the tape would be real close as I have a Hendrickson reproduction and those are pretty light. Of course when it comes to power there would be no contest

Look at it this way. What would you do if a half dozen Jehovah's Witnesses came on here, claimed to be Baptists, and tried to spread the doctrine that Jesus is actually Michael the archangel, yet none of the board administrators saw fit to ban them from the Baptist-only section? You'd probably do what many of us did -- AT FIRST. You'd debate them for a while and try to disarm their heresy.

At what point would you put them on ignore? Never? Well, that would be your choice. I've put these folks on ignore, and that's my choice. If you want to fuss about what I've done, go ahead.

It does not scare me to debate any of them. The Lord said:

If the members are going to blacklist all they do not agree with or are afraid to debate, this board will go down the tubes. I think it is a dangereous thing to start.

I don't like it and if I ever become blacklisted, I would like the courtesy of being told so I can politely leave.
