My simple answer to your question is: No, I do not believe the Trinity, and the definition of the Trinity in the various creeds is not a good representation concerning the Scriptural teaching concerning God and Jesus. Your comment seems to be different to the subject of this thread, and you have repeated this type of question on a number of occasions. I have mentioned in a number of threads that I believe that there is One God, the Father and that our Lord Jesus Christ is The Son of God. In a thread called "Trinity" I explained many aspects of my understanding of this subject.

I could add to this statement that salvation is not by belonging to a particular denomination, but salvation is by belief of the gospel of the Kingdom and the Name.
Acts 8:5,12 (KJV): 5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. 12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
Acts 4:10-12 (KJV): 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

I am a member of a fellowship that espouses a common belief, and we have fellowship with other meetings. There is an ebb and flow of people and ideas, but we share common ground in most things. My function in my particular meeting is as a Librarian, new books, books for loan and Bible recordings and talks on MP3. This suits my interest in Bible resources of all types, and I have a much larger personal library than at our meeting.

I am to some extent familiar with the view that you have presented above, but I will not summarise my assessment of this as there are many variations of the above. In simple terms I do not accept that salvation is by an influx of the Holy Spirit. Rather I accept that salvation is by an affectionate belief of the gospel and a resignation and trust in God. Abraham is a prime example when he believed the promise and it was counted to him for righteousness. I should imagine you would have your own explanation of this. There are many subjects that I have discussed on this forum and others, but the above is one that I prefer not to discuss. Some of this subject may include OSAS, salvation by faith ONLY, Calvinism and TULIP etc, depending on the particular variation that you espouse. I am not sure of how you would explain the Parable of the Sower and the different responses to the sowing of the gospel seed.

I agree with you. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation. We are not saved until we place our faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, believing in our heart that He died on the cross and rose from the dead for our sins.

I agree with you. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation. We are not saved until we place our faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, believing in our heart that He died on the cross and rose from the dead for our sins.

And the Jesus that we trust in to save us is the one who is God Incarnate, any other Jesus cannot save!

You must have had romans and Galatians torn from your catholic Bible, as he expounds really clearly that as inner is saved by Grace alone, thru faith alone, and NOT OF WORKS...

If you neglect to read the context you won't find the meaning of the Scripture. For example, John 5:28,29 is not speaking about salvation by works at all. It is speaking about the resurrection.
But what comes before those verses:

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
--Salvation is by faith alone as is so clearly taught by Christ Himself in verse 24. It is not by works. If one hears God's Word and simply believes in Christ that person shall be saved. He shall never come into condemnation, not ever, not for any sin ever committed again, ever! He at that very time, is passed from death to life, eternal life!
There is hardly a verse in the Bible that is so emphatic on eternal security as this verse is, as well as that salvation is by faith alone.
So if you had just read the context, a verse or two before the ones that you had quoted, you would have seen that your interpretation was completely false.

Rom. 11:29 – “the gifts and the call of our God our irrevocable.” Some Protestants use this to prove “once saved, always saved.” But this verse has nothing to do with our response to salvation. It deals with God’s unmerited gifts and call to us. Moreover, if a person is in “the elect,” then his salvation is irrevocable. But we can never know if we are in the elect during our lives (“the elect” only deals with God’s knowledge).

Rom. 14:4 – and he will be upheld, for the Master is able to make him stand. This is another verse Protestants use to prove “once saved, always saved.” But the verse speaks only to what God is able to do. It does not address what the person is free to do (accept God’s grace or reject it).
