Rahab and Abraham demonstrated their faith in Yahweh and trusting Him by their good works, but Grace alone thru faith alone saves!
Rahab was not even SAVED before this!

Rahab and Abraham demonstrated their faith in Yahweh and trusting Him by their good works, but Grace alone thru faith alone saves!
She proved her faith by her good works!Quote Calvin when it fits your theology, but ignore him on John 3:16!!!
Deal with the actual words of the Bible, "And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way?" THIS is what the Word of God SAYS! Now prove this to be wrong?
James 2:10, "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."
Galatians 2:21, ". . . for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."
Romans 3:19, "Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God."
Romans 6:14, ". . . For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. . . ."
And there are more references and contexts.
What is the difficulty you think you see?
Where does the Bible declare we are saved by our works?show ONE Bible verse that says faith ALONE!
Really! Show us this assertion in God's word.Rahab was not even SAVED before this!
She proved her faith by her good works!
God saves us by grace alone thru faith alone period!what about James 2:25, is there a contradiction?
No good works can add into salvation, as all by grace!I don't deny this, but her "works" are together with her "faith", and not after!
God saves us by grace alone thru faith alone period!

If He saves through both where do you get the alone idea. It takes the Lord first of all. It takes faith and trust. It also takes the gospel and Love if I sat hear and thought about it, I could come with a lot more. being saved by any thing alone is just plain ignorant of Gods word.God always saved by Grace alone thru faith alone!

My point still stands true salvation does not happen by anything alone. In Mark 1.15 Jesus says REPENT and BELIEVE in the Gospel. Not just BELIEVE
Your understanding of what James is teaching us is!So James 2.25 is a mistake
Faith along in Jesus as Lord saves! My point still stands true salvation does not happen by anything alone.

Seems that some here do indeed hold to a more catholic version of salvation, faith and good works!Where does the Bible declare we are saved by our works?
If it is not entirely of God, it is either entirely of men or it is man and God combining to save.
Since you reject God's saving work through faith alone, you must advocate for one of the two other options. This makes your name on the BB a false statement. You do not advocate saved by grace. Instead, you either advocate salvation by man's work alone or salvation by human cooperation with God in salvation. In both options grace is no longer an option.
So you deny pauline Justification?....and the bird of yesh does another flyover and drops another splat on another thread with no scripture, again.
If He saves through both where do you get the alone idea.
Its called pauline Justification!Where is the Bible verse for this? Or are content with theology
