I don't believe the suffering is without medical relief.

Again an exceptional case is being made the norm to justify murder - euthanasia.

Letting nature take its course is not euthanasia.

I'm outta here until August. Have a blessed July.

In this case perhaps not but this case and other exceptional cases like it will be used to justify actual euthanasia by deception.

Have a blessed holiday/vacation.

Yeah, Charlie has turned into an international incident, wouldn't be surprised to see him in the States any day now. Guess it's true the Liverpool Care Pathway still lives there, at least off the record and I do think his case is so rare (less than 20 with this in the world) that experimental treatment should be tried. Trump, May, the Pope AND Cher are all rooting for Charlie to come here.

I had a dog that actually ate some small magnets my kids left on the floor. They almost killed her. The vet said it was going to be 1500.00 for the surgery. Well I do not pay that kind of money for a dog under any circumstances. I asked how much to put her down. He offered to do the surgery for free if I let him write an article and put it in a vet journal on this new type of surgery.

Yes money was a contributing factor for the life of my dog. But we do not do that to humans. We do all we can until we can do no more.

While I concur heartily with this guy, IMHO, the final decision is still left for the parents! Why should ANY dr. or judge make this decision, especially if the finacial burden is completely on the parents??
As long as the dr.'s have had their input as to the pros & cons of different treatment, the decision should be left with the parents.
Could there be exceptions?? Of course, but once you deny parents control of their kids, you are getting into a messy area that big govt folks love.

What about parents who physically or sexually abuse their kids? Are those parents' rights supreme?

To deny the power of modern medicine is to deny the Power of God in nature.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does this include the power of modern pharmacopoeia?

There are many out here in cyberspace who must take a pill to alter the viscosity of the blood--to prevent a stroke. The condition: Atrial Fibrillation. That pill can cost as much as $450 USD for a 30 day supply. Maybe the 1% of the population can afford this medication; many cannot.

Turns out there are foods that help thin the blood. Plain old aspirin works too. Now what?

Lilly, Bayer, etal, are probably not concerned with God's plans for anyone.

Eastern medicine has its own pharma but nothing like the Western version of medicine.

Is it too late for a miracle?

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

I take Xarelto. And it costs 70 times what the more common Coumadin costs. But I can't take Coumadin so my anti-coagulant of choice is Xarelto.

That is what a good prescription plan is for.

Plain old aspirin works too.
But aspirin has a blood half life of 2 hours. And long term use will eat away at the lining of the esophagus and stomach causing ulcers (Aspirin is an acid - acetylsalicylic acid), stomach bleeding, and is contraindicated if you have asthma, are pregnant, or a child (Reye's syndrome). And, as I noted in my earlier post, comes from nature (the bark of the Yew tree). So "to deny the power of modern medicine is to deny the power of God in nature."

Now what?
Now you die of a stroke in bed unless you wake up and take more aspirin every 4 hours?

I can't take rat poison either--makes my eyes bleed. Someone said the American Indians used a medicine from the bark of the white willow for headaches--an Amerind aspirin. I have used a lot of generic aspirin for years--no peptic ulcers discovered so far. I know that black willow bark makes a good natural insecticide.

I have been dealing with heart problems for many years. Several doctors have seriously botched on the right chemical, dosage and contraindications. Me thinks there is a collusion between Big Pharma and the AMA. Ask your PCP to let you inspect his free sample cabinet.

I am reminded of a truism from the world of chiropractic: We take an aspirin for a headache caused by constipation caused by bad diet. Aspirin just covers up the symptoms. A change in diet may stop the headaches for a long time. Peace.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
