Yes, figures like 98% and 99% survivable are profoundly deceiving. To the uncritical mind, this seems like an awfully high survival rate.
Consider wingsuit flying - a sport that is considered to be extremely dangerous: 99.8 % of jumps are "safe" - no severe injury.
Would anyone say that wingsuit flying is not dangerous? Of course not - we consider wingsuit flyers to be death-defying daredevils.
And yet it is basically just as safe as getting covid.
When death is the penalty, very few people would be willing to take a particular risk even if the odd of surviving are 99%. Imagine if flying was only 99% safe: since about 6,000,000 fly each day worldwide, that would mean 60,000 dead per day.
No one, of course, would go near a plane.
And yet we have people dismissing covid since the risk of death is "only" 1%.
My ancestors crossed the Atlantic in 1620, and helped setup Quebec while surrounded by savages from the Iroquois Confederacy. Their risk of death was far greater than 1%, yet they still did it because they knew how precious freedom was. Can you imagine leaving a safe, stable nation like France or England for wildland? That's how valuable the freedom is that Vax mandate people want to destroy.
Unfortunately the male stock in North America has declined from our origins, and too many sheep are willing to accept peaceful serfdom rather than dangerous freedom. These sheep will be the first to be offed under the new regime. Canada has already fallen and the U.S is next.
