Now for those who are interested in serious, adult discussion, I repeat:
I see no evidence of any initiative to make vaccinations mandatory (i.e. a vaccine mandate). Making vaccinations a condition of employment is entirely different - employers, I believe, have the right to establish requirements for employment. I thought all you right-wing types wanted the government to lay off private business and let them do business as they see fit. Why are you guys suddenly objecting to letting employers dictate conditions of employment?
It is easy to pontificate about freedom and point out the obvious truth that, yes, the pandemic has restricted freedom. Well, no kidding - that is what happens when a serious public heath crisis arises. However, the real world does not lend itself to the naive, albeit attractive, notion that we get to be free to whatever we wish no matter the price others pay for our "freedom".
