Everyone the cops pull over that are drunk say exactly what you just said. Not that I am saying you are drinking.

wonder how many crawl in the back door and say "honey, I only had 2."

Judge? I didn't even know you drink until you told it.

How do you gather fermented wine from the fields, will someone tell me please?

Deuteronomy, chapter 11

13: And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love

the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

14: That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in

thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

15: And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.

Jere.40

10: As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah to serve the Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and

summer fruits, and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.

OH are you a cop.

If not it looks like there are two subjects on this thread that I could teach you and you could learn.

If you even cared to listen.

Show me where it says its ok to drink moderately?

But more than that, show me where mortal man can drink 1 drink and not have his brain affected to where he will not make the same decision about the next drink as he made about the 1st and so on and on and on. Moderately drinking is hogwash.

Amen to Brother Bob, and yes, good to see you again.

Brother Bob,

Although I agree with the Word of God as you do, we must be careful not to turn their wine into water. They cannot get through the day without that shotglass or without their belief that God condones alcohol in the life of the believer even if they choose not to drink..

How does that go about falsly accusing..................

Lets just say I was on the other end of the rope and certainly know what I am talking about and if you want conformation you can ask my wife and I am sure she would tell you.

You ask for a scripture about a nonacoholic wine and I just gave you one and you didn't comment on that, why not?

Well then you are only one person who told one cop "whetever it is you were talking about.

But you said

Everyone the cops pull over that are drunk say exactly what you just said. Not that I am saying you are drinking.

The highlight is mine

It seems you are speaking about things you have no knowlege or experiance with.

I do not claim that all wine is alcoholic. That has never been my point.

Throughout all these "wine" threads my claim has been that the fruit of the vine that Jesus drank during the last supper was fully fermented alcohol. I have given evidence that has been ignored time and again. Nobody has disputed this based on any fact

You don't "gather oil". It takes time to press and refine it. You gather the olives.

In the same way you 'gather oil', you 'gather wine'. It takes time to press and refine the grape juice, which becomes wine quite naturally.

You cannot ignore the time element in one part of that verse and claim it in the next!

That is an exelent point Helen. I hope it will not be ignored.

Well I may have stated it wrong when I said everyone but if you are a cop or what, I know several and some of the stories I have heard about what people tell them is out of this world.

Also, what proof you have that the wine Jesus drank at the Last Supper was fermented?

Bro Bob how do you gather oil from the fields, very easy and I will explain below.

I could place a bucket up to the olive tree and squeeze the

oil out if I wanted to and who is to say that is not how they

did it. what you call refining is what they do today back then they pressed it out. I also could place a bucket up to the grapes

and

squeeze the juice out. what you call refining is what they do today back then they pressed it out.

That's the exact question I was wondering...

Of course, with gas prices so high, I wish I could gather crude oils from my fields!!

I see your knowlege of pressing olives for oil is as impressive as your knowlege of wine.

Yup olive oil is from hand squeezed olives just like little oranges.

Besides it says "Gather" not squeeze.

Bro Bob, Would you care to study a subject just a little before you act as an expert.

They still press it out today they just have machinery to do it. You are the one showing your ignorance. There have been times and probably still are that they pressed it out by stomping on it with bare feet.

oh help....

My husband used to harvest olives to make money while at university. They have to be mechanically pressed, not just gently squeezed. Often the stone itself has to be broken open.

One does not stick a bucket under an olive tree.

I don't believe anyone could even have said that!

Traditional Method – Olive Press

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Prensa.gif http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Prensa.gif

People have used olive presses since Greeks first began pressing olives over 5000 years ago. An olive press works by applying pressure to olive paste to separate the liquid oil and vegetation water from the solid material. The oil and vegetation water are then separated by standard decantation.
This method is still widely used today, and it’s still a valid way of producing high quality olive oil if adequate precautions are taken.
First the olives are ground into an olive paste using large millstones. The olive paste generally stays under the stones for 30 – 40 min, this has three objectives:
  • to guarantee that the olives are well ground
  • to allow enough time for the olive drops to join to form the largest droplets of oil
  • allow the fruit enzymes to produce some of the oil aromas and taste
Rarely, olive oil mills use a modern crushing method with a traditional press.
After grinding, the olive paste is spread on fiber disks, which are stacked on top of each other, then placed into the press. Traditionally the disks were made of hemp or coconut fiber, but nowadays they’re made of synthetic fibers which are easier to clean and maintain.
These disks are then put on a hydraulic piston, forming a pile. Pressure is applied on the disks, thus compacting the solid phase of the olive paste and percolating the liquid phases (oil and vegetation water). The applied hydraulic pressure can go to 400 atm.
To facilitate separation of the liquid phases, water is run down the sides of the disks to increase the speed of percolation.
The liquids are then separated either by a standard process of decantation or by the means of a faster vertical centrifuge.
The traditional method is a valid form of producing high quality olive oil, if after each extraction the disks are properly cleaned from the remains of paste; if not the leftover paste will begin to ferment thereby producing inconsistencies of flavours (called defects) that will contaminate the subsequently produced olive oil. A similar problem can affect the grindstones, that in order to assure perfect quality, also require cleaning after each usage.

There were many different forms of wine presses. The most simple consisted mainly of a bag, in which the grapes were put and squeezed.

To make olive oil, olives were squeezed with a press. The oil usually flowed from openings below the press.

Taking into account the artical I have posted above about oil extraction. I think I have shown that olive oil can not just be squeezed out by hand.

If I am wrong why dont you expose my "ignorance" with proof. Show somekind of link showing hand squeezed olive oil.

Remember the word gather.

Maybe they brought fermenting pots to the grape vines and fermented the grapes while they were gathering. In the hot sun if they gathered grapes all day the fermenter they were draging behind them would have started fermentation by the end of the day. :tongue3:

You all are making fun of the Holy Word of God.

God said they gathered them. You need to take it up with Him.

SO, you are saying that the word gathering means they took a bag and a oil press out to the field and crushed the olives under the tree making (gathering) oil.

Come on, are you not bothered by the acrobatics you are trying to preform to make your point fit.
