This is not a statement or inquiry of unbelief but I wonder if they are like Baptists (myself included) do they take medicines like for high blood pressure (assuming the individual has it), stroke prevention, etc? I prayed early on at its presentation but was not healed so I felt man's remedy would do until the Lord answered my prayer. I do however thank the Lord for medicine. I believe it is a universal gift of God to mankind.
How many have prayed for sickness and held to "by his strips we were healed", and yet deny that their loved ones even died? How many caused them to die early due to see taqking medicine and seeing a dr a "lack of faith"

No, as in the NT scriptures were now fully made and able to be circulated copies around, so that God was using them instead of signs and wonders to confirm the truth of Jesus as Lord!
We are not talking about "confirming the truth of Jesus as Lord," we are talking about the importance of the Gifts for the work of the ministry and the edifying of the Saints in Love.

The sign gifts are not required for that, as the Spirit and the scriptures themselves are able to mature all of us!

But it is not like Jesus raising the dead after 4 days with decay setting in.
Nor are any of the Apostles recorded raising the dead after 4 days (or turning water into wine, or walking on water, or parting the Red Sea, or multiplying loaves and fish) ... proving clearly that there is a difference between a saint and being God (As if that needed proving).

94% do. About 5% believe that God has given us plants to treat everything and are homeopathic. About 1% come along to tell people that the only reason they are not healed is because they lack faith. We have enough solid, Biblical Christians to crush that nonsense right away ... Tell it to Paul and his "thorn in the flesh"!

I agree.
God was angry with the antagonists of Job and their judgemental attitudes towards him.

Yes, the scripture talks of the prayer of faith but if we say to another that their prayers are not answered because of lack of faith we may well set ourselves up for a test of our own as the scripture also warns.

Even Jesus said "Father, if it be Thy will, take this cup away from me; yet not my will but Thine be done!"

Whether we be charismatic, cessasionist, whatever, if Jesus acknowledged the will of the Father in His death we ought also to acknowledge the will of God and His perfect knowledge and wisdom for the course of our life.

The answer may be "not yet" or "later" or even "no". James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Or we just aren't ready. John 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

2 Timothy 3:16 is still in the Bible!

Let’s compare those statements side by side and see if what you claim and what 2 Timothy says are the same thing.

YOU SAID:

2 TIMOTHY 3:16 SAYS:
[2 Timothy 3:16-17 NASB] 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

Does the verse you selected say anything about “signs and wonders” or about God now using scripture “to confirm the truth of Jesus as Lord”? If not, then how can THIS verse prove that God has changed how and when the Holy Spirit bestows gifts for the building up of the body?

Whatever we call the methods the Holy Spirit uses for the benefit of the church what does it matter if the end result in our life is the fruit of the Spirit?
love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control.
Or what we call ourselves Methodist, Pentecostal, Baptist?

Do you honestly believe the signs and wonders of an Apostle are here today?

“Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.” (2 Corinthians 12:12)

Are we confusing the prayer of faith that heals the sick with the now expired charismatic gifts only an apostle could impart?

The point is that now thru the completede canon of the scriptures, we now have all that is needed for ours and the church to mature and grow!

Only the MOST extreme person that sees all gifts ceasing would say that God cannot do any healings/miracle even today , but we would still see them done by God as He so wills, and none gifted anymore to do them!

the Spirit can produce his fruit in us without any sign gifts in operation!

Who says this sort of thing?
