It was the Holy Spirit Himself though that decided to grant the tongues , in order to show to the Jews that those non Jews were able to get saved by same Jesus!
Agree or disagree?Hmmmm....

Actual they were speaking in a real language that was not known/learned by them! One of the biggest giveaways to the fraudulent nature of today's tongues, is that the first century tongue speaker knew what they were saying. None of today's tongue speakers have a clue.
Agree or disagree?
I disagree with your statement.God can still do healings and ,iracles as he so wills them, but those are extraordinary events, not normal today, and NONE today have the gift to heal/do miracles as the Apostles didi!
This is a misconception. They spoke in a heavenly tongue to God and those with the gift of interpretation heard it in their native tongue.Actual they were speaking in a real language that was not known/learned by them!
You do not think God still does any healings today then?I disagree with your statement.
there is NO such thing as a Heavenly language tongue, such as used in personal prayers, rather it was a real langauge spoke forth to allow others to hear in their own tongue! This is a misconception. They spoke in a heavenly tongue to God and those with the gift of interpretation heard it in their native tongue.
According to Paul: “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.” (1 Corinthians 14:2) (KJV 1900)there is NO such thing as a Heavenly language tongue, such as used in personal prayers, rather it was a real langauge spoke forth to allow others to hear in their own tongue!
Martin Marprelate: The argument, "It was so wonderful; how can it be wrong?" is no better an argument in favour of 'tongues' than it is for adultery."
A naïve comment from someone who has never had the experience!
That particular gift not given for today though!According to Paul: “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.” (1 Corinthians 14:2) (KJV 1900)
That is rich. A pompous, arrogant statement that seeks to dismiss dissent because the person hasn't experienced it. What else must we not comment on unless we had the experience?
Jesus Himself never had that experience, was he also naive?

What i disagree with is this:You do not think God still does any healings today then?
Was there a death certificate issued?
Since there is already a topic to discuss "cessationism" and this is not it! Let me respond to your post with an observation that is on the topic of "Charismata: What to watch out for".If any miracles happen, it's not because any have the charismatic gifts today. We have the prayer of faith that heals. And we cast out demons in Jesus' name at times.
Do you know anyone who publical is known to have them then? What i disagree with is this:
NONE today have the gift to heal/do miracles as the Apostles didi!
Everything recorded dowen to us in scripture happened, but the so called healings and miracles claimed today? Not so much!
- [Acts 20:7-12 NASB] 7 On the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul [began] talking to them, intending to leave the next day, and he prolonged his message until midnight. 8 There were many lamps in the upper room where we were gathered together. 9 And there was a young man named Eutychus sitting on the window sill, sinking into a deep sleep; and as Paul kept on talking, he was overcome by sleep and fell down from the third floor and was picked up dead. 10 But Paul went down and fell upon him, and after embracing him, he said, "Do not be troubled, for his life is in him." 11 When he had gone [back] up and had broken the bread and eaten, he talked with them a long while until daybreak, and then left. 12 They took away the boy alive, and were greatly comforted.
I guess that means that if no one can produce a death certificate for Eutychus, then the event in Acts 20 didn't happen either.
[FYI: You can go research what paperwork Hernando County Fire-Rescue filed on the incident yourself it you want. I have no idea. I just met the man before he passed on (about 5 years later and quietly in his sleep) and know the Doctor, two nurses and dozens of people who were there.]
yes, but not the normal ways He operates! In my final conclusion that in the sovereignty of the Holy Spirit, these things are always possible. I am saying no more.
I believe what the Scriptures teach.Do you know anyone who publical is known to have them then?
Then youy should believe that sign gift died with John, as it was ceasing even during the life of paul Himself, as he could not heal Timothy, but could advise him to take some wine!I believe what the Scriptures teach.
