So Jesus was guessing when he said He is the Temple of God? Or when he said John the Baptist was Elijah?Literalism is proven; symbolism is guesswork.

Where does Jesus say "Microchips"?You are being deliberately dense as well as wrong.
Is that written somewhere, or is that just your guesswork? His immediate audience, nor His penmen didn't know what chips or choppers are. Thus, he used terms they knew.
Still being deliberately dense. So Jesus was guessing when he said He is the Temple of God? Or when he said John the Baptist was Elijah?
When He said 'mark'.Where does Jesus say "Microchips"?
Fact. See any 1st century mention of MCs or copters ?Is that written somewhere, or is that just your guesswork?
Charles Manson added to scripture in just the same way. When He said 'mark'.
Insults tell me you are exhausted and running short.Still being deliberately dense.
So, not really locusts, and not really marks.Fact. See any 1st century mention of MCs or copters ?
Not a bit. YOU'RE the one posting stupidity & juvenile stuff.Insults tell me you are exhausted and running short.
So? Who believed him?Charles Manson added to scripture in just the same way.
John described what he saw as best he could with his 1st C. understanding. So, not really locusts, and not really marks.
Yeah, there's no appeal to symbolism there.
You keep saying that. You have to realize you are just imagining what he saw if you are rejecting literal locusts and marks as is written.John described what he saw as best he could with his 1st C. understanding.
No, You are plain wrong on this one Dave. It means to make known. Has nothing to do with symbols and object lessons.“THE Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:” Revelation 1:1 (KJV 1900)
Study "Signify" (sign) in scripture and it means symbols or "object lessons".
But could it not be an actual mark and actual locusts? Will you allow for that possibility?John described what he saw as best he could with his 1st C. understanding.
You need more study. What I say is true but unknown to you. If you are really "Reformed" you should know this by now.No, You are plain wrong on this one Dave. It means to make known. Has nothing to do with symbols and object lessons.
I find it amazing that you and your microchips are no different from him calling the scorpions the Beatles. So? Who believed him?
Insults are a substitute for thinking on the part of those who hurl them. Not a bit. YOU'RE the one posting stupidity & juvenile stuff.
You know full well why Jesus didn't say 'microchip', etc. it's not because it's not true, but because His chosen writers & audience wouldn'ta known what they now are, same as His disciples wouldn't know what meteors are unless He woulda made a long explanation to them. But His purpose was to answer theur questions, so He used a term they knew-falling star.
But in your zeal to try to defend your hooey, you're acting as if I or the readers not in this disussion don't know why Jesus used 'mark' for what'll almost-certainly be some sorta electronic miniatire device implanted under the skin which will contain all of one's financial records & be able to conduct transactions. Like it or not, this'll be a LITERAL device.
(I won't be around to see it; I'll either be raptured or dead. But maybe some unsaved person reading this may be alive then & heed the warning not to take that 'mark'.)
I'm biblical. You need more study. What I say is true but unknown to you. If you are really "Reformed" you should know this by now.
You are ignorant of the passages that prove my position.I'm biblical.
