We reheated the vegetable soup I made last night and tossed in some more broth and mixed vegetables (I stumped my toe in the black pepper, as my wife's Granny used to say, so the broth and vegies helped cool it back down), along with ham sandwiches, pretzels, and garlic pickles.

We've got a meeting before church tonight, so we're making Beef Stew in the Crockpot, Twice-Baked Deviled Potatoes, Garden Macaroni Salad, and Peanut Butter-Chocolate Cupcakes for dessert.

Dinner was going to be pasta with homemade marinara sauce, but when my daughter came in and saw the beginnings of the sauce, she thought it was a seafood dish we make that turns out to be basically chunky marinara sauce with scallops and shrimp added. So we had the seafood version. And individual chocolate souffles for dessert.

Last day of husbands' business trip, so my daughter and I decided just to raid the refrigerator/freezer and see what looks good. I think I will choose some frozen chicken noodle soup I have out there.
Back to real meals tomorrow.

Tonight was Pioneer Woman's rib eye steak, garlic mashed potatoes and garlic peas. Yeah - lots of garlic but when can you ever go wrong with garlic for dinner?? LOL

I made spaghetti and garlic bread for lunch, so supper will be whatever we can catch (but definitely something light, if at all).

The chicken meatloaf sound intriguing. How do you season it?
We will have french toast and bacon.

I did it kind of the same as with beef, but used Italian seasoning seasoning and Parmesan cheese instead of heavier seasonings. Everyone seemed to like it!

Brenda's been in the hospital since Monday afternoon, so I've been fixing dinner for my Daughter and the Gkids, grabbing a quick bite myself, then going to the hospital.

Turkey with Cherry Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes and Giblet Gravy, Green Bean Casserole, Five Fruit Salad, and Cherry Cream Crumble Pie for dessert.
