When Will Obama's Wave Crash?

If we would ever get a leader in which he tries to do away with Christianity... I am not going to pray that he succeeds... but I will still pray for him... that he will turn to God before it is too late.

That would be quite a feat for one man. Our system of Govt would have to be outlawed. Congress suspended, Supreme Court removed and then he would have to deal with State and local govts as well. I don't see that happening.

Well yes that could be the case. However I do not see that an elected official could gather that kind of power from single decree. I do hold out hope that Congress has a few Godly men and women that will stand in his way. And for that matter I do not think that the military would honor such an order. Many of these men and women that serve our nation are God fearing, Christian folks.

Give more and more power to the UN...

Allow more and more of our freedoms to be dictated by the Government...

Allow the government to babyset the citizens more and more....

Keep reinterpreting the constitution so that citizens believe that by being a citizen of the US, the country OWES them something... from Dental care, Health Care, money, welfare....

FDR started this way of thinking.. and before FDR, people beleived they worked hard to make this country a better place... after FDR the belief changed that this country should work hard to make people better....

Slowly for the last 80 yrs, this country has been becoming more and more like Stalin's Italy...

Obama wants this... Hillary wants this... and I'm not too sure McCain doesn't....

(You'll also need to have eight 'electors'.) The votes the candidate receives will then be tabulated, along with those any other registered candidate gets. If a write-in candidate were to get enough, he or she would then get the electoral votes of KY that were cast for President, or any other office.

I do not know about the procedures of any other states.

I agree that we are getting there. However I think that we will be much more like 1920's Germany. We are not there yet but it did not take but 10 years of economic distress for a Hitler to come on the scene.

As I understand it Florida accepts write ins. The State does not tally the write in by name but by the category. If the category/write in, should get the majority of the vote then the category is then tallied by name to determine if any name there carries the majority.

I could stand to being corrected though.

And unfortunately, I already gave what I could afford to the campaign of Mike Huckabee, what with him being a Southern Baptist, and all, just as I did when Jimmy Carter ran. Thing is, I'm just not sure I made a real good investment.

No not really and you are right. It's just that each man came to power in different ways and I just wanted to get the meaning of Tim's statement. The "Stalin's Italy" threw me until Tim could clear it up for me.
