Illness and fatigue.

Sick and tired of being a considered a racist because my ancestors never own slaves, an uncaring consumer of the earth because of my carbon footprint and possibly unsaved because I am more inclined to quote Wesley than MacArthur.

In the downtime I've been restoring some antique furniture, did a period correct restoration of the dining room and laid in the backyard with the 6 year old counting stars.

The neighborhood on BB has changed considerably and I'm not quite sure I like the changes.

You are one poster I did not miss.

Sometimes people are asked to give a biblical explanation for what they believe. They cannot do it as what they are believing is unbiblical.
They could learn and grow.....or.....they can oppose themselves, call people names, and then disappear.
It reminds me of stale dried up church members who do not like it when visitors come in and sit in their favorite spot . Rather than being happy for the visitor who is fresh and looking to be involved there, they become offended and stop coming out.
If you have noticed.....some fundamentalists offer what they are used to offering in a thread. Their conclusions when challenged do not hold up to questioning.....they go away as those in Jn 6:66 did.

Why all the bitter grudges on display? Must we have everyone agree with everything we say, and never act out in the flesh towards us, or we tuck tail, hold grudges, and report our list of crimes they've committed against us; 1 Corinthians 13:5???

Man, call someone out for their behavior, and hold them to it hoping they'll repent, but holding the grudge and tucking tail, not very strong Christian behavior IMO. It doesn't seem to match things concerning forgiveness, Matthew 5:4, being men, not holding grudges, Leviticus 19:18.

I'm pretty sure that you have me on ignore, but I just have to interject that Padre, whom I have greatly missed is one of the most encouraging people on this board.

If people on other boards are talking about the meanness here, it isn't about Padre.

I'm quite shocked you would say this about him.

Interesting how everyone missed or ignored my apology just looking for a reason to shoot me after I made a mistake.
