Folks, can we get back to the OP and its discussion and stop debating the suitability of the provenance of a quotation?

Awww. I thought you missed me, rsr.

"God is not a cosmic killjoy. I know some people who believe He is. They think God runs around saying, "There's one having fun; get him!" They believe God wants to rain on everybody's parade. But that isn't so. God made you. He knows how you operate best. And He knows what makes you happy. The happiness He gives doesn't stop when the party's over. It lasts because it comes from deep within."
- Anyone venture to guess?

For me, we went on vacation July 31st, found out my oldest had a job and had to be there in 5 days on August 6th, we got home from vacation on the 18th and then had to travel to Washington DC on the 21st to get her an apartment. We got back the 23rd, I had a bunch of stuff to do around the house to recover from vacation and packing up my daughter's stuff that she had to leave and then we just went back to DC to move her into the apartment. Honestly, I'm exhausted but we're home for a month now. :) I'll be back on more once I recover a bit more.

I'm not telling. That would provoke a whole 'nother ring-around-the-rosy.

evangelist6589, your question..., " Where did everybody go"?

...there's three or four folks on here who consider themselves as God's Right Hand Man and as such, some of the rest of us grow a bit weary of not being able to muster.

Sometimes people are asked to give a biblical explanation for what they believe. They cannot do it as what they are believing is unbiblical.
Would be easier to accept by many icon if you had said " They cannot do it as what they are believing is what seems unbiblical.

Just sayin'

Been here at the BB since 2001.

Still here after a stroke - only a little peripheral neuropathy remains in my left hand fingers.
Heart failure - survived and have a pace-maker (tic-toc, tic-toc) installed. Told my grandkids I have a clock in my chest.
Coronary thrombosis - sword of Damocles over me.

Every day here on planet earth with family is a day of grace and precious - should have realized that long ago - foolishness of youth.

People will probably be returning after the election when that nastiness has subsided and the loosers have licked their wounds.

Advice FWIW - Be kind to them. Don't gloat :)

I'm glad you are still with us Hank. But it is good to get more than a mere glimpse of our mortality.

That's losers.
