This theology you are holding makes you say this...
What is wrong with someone being totally submitted to Jesus as LORD???

Is this a bad thing? If Jesus is our Lord and King....are you saying there is ever a time we should not be submitted to His Divine authority???

I really think your ideas are off the reservation on this DHK.

No, we rather are saying that total submission all the time to Jesus as Lord has NEVER been reached by any Christian, and that some holding to LS seem to indicate until one gets there, were not really saved!

Yes...you must have it both ways to have the biblical salvation

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
:wavey::wavey:
r him

Those works are things like love for jesus, for the bethren,m for his bible, to attend assemblies to witness to live fo

Where does it stae that unless/until one total submits to Him he will not be able to bring forth works?

The Bible doesn't say, but MacArthur says it, and because he says it, apparently that makes it so. There are many MacArthurites on the board instead of those that follow the Scriptures. Again, here are the words of MacArthur, not the Bible:
"Saving faith is a placing of oneself totally in submission to the Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 1-8, p. 205).

Could you show a quote of anyone who says that...just one responsible person who says this???

I do not want this fuzzy...seemed to indicate..show it.

you did not answer these questions...please do so

What area of your life is Jesus not Lord over?

How much sin do you want to be able to commit?

are some sins acceptable sins?

is holiness optional?

why attempt to avoid sin at all?

How much adultery is okay?

Is stealing or lying okay?
When paul asked;
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound.? What is your answer...tell me how you respond to this if a person asks you.

Why not answer some of these questions for yourself.
He is not lord over any one's heart who makes a post that deliberately insults another, misrepresents another, slanders another, is angry at another, etc.

Christ has said, and very forcefully so:
Every idle word that a man shall speak he shall so give account of in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Mat.12:36,37).

James also had much to say about the use of the tongue in James 3.
It is a little member that boasts great things.
It is like a fire that often gets out of control.

So do keyboards.

The reference to grammar lessons was on another thread where your comprehension of a certain subject seems to be a bit difficult.
The question here is rather simple.
The very questions you ask of Yeshua you need to ask of yourself lest you be a hypocrite.

Are you sinless? Remember what is written in 1John 1:8,10.
What do you attribute sin to? If you don't have an old nature then are attributing your sin to your new nature, that is, the Holy Spirit?
How do you answer, Icon?

He has been asked 5 different times in two threads to respond to these questions to clarify what he has posted...his posts are not clear or biblical.

why should I answer for him? I see you added or inserted the old man into the other post.....blending it all together to cover your mistake.....like you now cover up when I corrected you with 1 thes. 5....slick move dhk.... but you have been caught at the scene of the crime.

Calling me names or saying I need to go to grammar school does not correct your error.

You guys spend more time defending your words than you do debating the issues. Its like the Jerry Springer show around here.

Unless you have reached the state of sinless perfection, BOTH you and I are still ones who at times submit to the desires of our flesh and disobey God, and still need to rely upon the cleansing power of the blood of jesus, correct?

I am not asking you to answer for anyone else. I am asking you to answer the question I posed to you. Never mind how I worded my question. Just answer it.

Unfortunately...you are correct sir!

Trying to get DHK to focus is like trying to nail the proverbial jello to the wall:laugh:

He inserts words in a post ,changes them when someone responds on point, as if people will forget what he posted two pages previously.

Sorry about that...but I feel it is needful to expose his M.O. as it is habitual.

When he is having trouble making a point, or the response shows the defective ideas....he creates a strawman to beat up, or calls names, as if this changes what was posted.

I asked you 9 questions....answer them please before asking anymore questions ...or no dialog is really taking place....Failure to answer will result in me answering your posts in the same way...you respond to me ...or KYRED who also asks you to offer scripture....

You said one time that you offered scripture once and the other person did not agree with you: confused::confused:

This is BB....does anyone agree with anyone ...or do we mostly disagree...

look at me and DHK...on these topics we are completely opposed to each other...but DHK offers his ideas with scripture....I disagree and offer scripture, he does the same......that is how we or others can learn...

random statements about..."I think this though" do not get us to scripture.

If you make statements without any scriptural support they are of little or no value.

Either way:thumbs::applause:...I give DHK credit in that he does not hide like a turtle or ostrich ...even when he is being chopped up.

Some others run and hide, drive by and disappear.

Yes.

Or they complain that you are just attacking them personally.

I think that's this board's #1 problem - too many take disagreement personally.

Many do not understand LS and are intimidated to studying the matter in depth. Afraid to read a book and look up all the verses. Fear and an unwillingness to read and study may be pride. I told a New Age author whom wrote me and I said I would read her book if she read Invasion of other gods and I did not hear a reply. I have challenged free grace advocates that I would read absolutely Free if they read a good book on LS but I do not usually hear back. I am so saddened by the actions of people.

Yes LS is not easy but to me having an open mind it seems a very clear doctrine.

I believe it is so difficult because so many who think and claim to be saved really are not saved. They have been offered salvation on a level so far below what God intended that they just cannot comprehend the truth about salvation. They have in fact fell to the false teachings of easy believism.

No place does the bible ever say or teach that we receive Jesus as Savior to be saved. It always deals with Him being Lord. Scripture says repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Repentance is not almost turning to God or coming with rebellion against His authority. Biblical repentance is a heart that is broken over their sin and humbly coming as a beggar with a spirit of total surrender to Him. We are then told to take that heart and place it on the Lord Jesus Christ, Not Savior Jesus Christ, and that is faith and we are saved. If Jesus is not accepted as Lord, our Master, He is not our Savior.

Those who oppose this say it is legalism, however it is not legalism but repentance and faith. To oppose the Lordship of Jesus is to remain in our rebellion and remain in our lost condition.

yes this is what happens many times is the reason an emphasis is being brought to bare on this topic.

Yes and this is one big reason the church is in such disarray. Many have crept in and are teaching another gospel. If Jesus is not a persons Lord through total surrender He is not one's Savior. '

Can you quote me just one verse from the New Testament where it commands us that we must have total surrender in order to be saved?
