You mean shrimp? Some people here fry the heads up real crispy. They're ok but I much prefer a bunch of 16 ct boiled. I just noticed you live in OK. I lived there for a while, and I don't remember there being a lot of shrimp to be had.

Technically, there is a difference. :)

The Asian district has an awesome selection of fresh, affordable seafood.

    And other stuff.

Here's my daughter holding a sampling of tonight's dinner: http://picasaweb.google.com/chipoet/MyPhotography#5439368797402403106

Of course we just threw it all messy on plates and sat around watching Ratatouille, but it made for a cool pic.

Most people in the house find the head-on thing a bit disturbing, but that's what makes preparing them this way half the fun. Especially if you have kids who don't know you have them and you pop up behind them holding one up. That was priceless!

She had the Cajun Club with fries, I had buffalo fingers with onion rings.

As for today, I have no idea. I have a deacon's retreat to go to, but I don't think they are feeding us so I will probably grab something on the way. My wife is hosting a jewelry party and is serving cold cuts, chips and dip, Chex mix, and homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Tonight is leftovers for us. DH is away on a pastor's retreat with the other pastors at our church and both of my teens are at work. So it's just me and the two littles (7 and 9). I'm in the middle of a project too so it will be just about a "fend for yourself" night. :) I'm painting my full wall brick fireplace! Woo-hoo!

Got monday's planned, a Paula Deen recipe we love, braised short ribs (not using short ribs, too expensive too much fat) with onions and mushrooms, served over rice, and green beans.

I was told that they both love beef and shrimp, so I thought I'd try dishes that they'd both enjoy. Impressed, I doubt it. I'm sure they've both had much better then I'm serving.
