    it is man-made mysticism that said the wine and bread turns into blood and skin. WHERE does it say that it does that? That is an invention of a reprobate mind. Where does it say that the bread and wine will *magically turn into blood and skin*? What chapter and verse is that? Friend, I'm being dead serious. Leave the Rcc lies, Turn to the Truth--Trust and Treasure the Finished Work of Jesus Christ. Be set Free!

    Then you are wrong.

    Patently, plainly and inescapably wrong.

    You have been taught and accepted a counter-biblical narrative that is unsupportable by Scripture. A tradition that was first devised not by the Apostles, as you've asserted, because the Apostles who were inspired to write the NT canon didn't mention it. No! It was devised by enemies of Christ Jesus, men who claim for themselves the title "Vicar of Christ". There is no more blasphemous or audacious title a man may claim than that.

    There is no sin ascribed to the Scribes and Pharisees of Matthew 23:1-36 that cannot be laid in full upon the RCC.

    However, since I am incapable of coaxing the scales from your eyes, I will, as always, rely upon the Holy Spirit Himself to do so.

    Bingo! You get the gold star. Now surely that was just a symbol too? LOL Good grief, if the man can suddenly rise to heaven, surely He can turn wine into His blood and bread into His body. Oh what little faith these Baptist believers can have in certain situations.

    The rule is the BIBLE is the Final and ONLY AUTHORITY concerning Christianity.

    Show me that BIBLE VERSE BROTHER. Show us where the bible says it is the FINAL and ONLY authority.

    Spit out the truth. That RULE is UNBIBLICAL.

Wow, Jesus gave other men the power to act in His steed, man that was something.

    No they weren't. Rome taught that all 'heretics' as she called them, were Manacheans, and as that sect had been declared heretic they could kill them all. The book of Revelation declares that Rome will persecute the saints, but Rome says she doesn't persecute saints only heretics and she has a perfect right to persecute and kill them.

    Rome is the centre of heretics. The true church of witness to the gospel of Christ has always been there but suppressed by the persecutions or Rome and Constantinople. In 2 Thessalonians 2 we have the man of sin sitting in the temple of God, claiming to be god. Paul says that the church is now the temple of God.

    Paul says also in 2 Thess That some one and some thing was restraining the son of perdition and Paul when he was with them told them what they were. We can expect that the early church would have passed that information on and they would have written it down, and they did with remarkable unaninimity that it was the Roman empire and the emperor who would be removed. That was the case when Constantine removed the empire to the east. The Waldesians recognised that, and trace their separation from Rome when Sylvester was bishop. That was at the time of Constantine.

    There could not be two rulers of the Roman Empire sitting in Rome at the same time, and the removal of the emperor made way for the Pope to sit his place, Just as the Caesars claimed to be divine so do the popes.

    In the Book of Revelation there are two Women, The Bride and the Harlot, the false Bride. They are aldo two cities, the Holy Jerusalem and Mystery Babylon the great/ This could not be literal Babylon as some literalists say, as her paganism was not hidden, but papal paganism is hidden, its Babylonian priests call themselves 'father' and scripture says "Call no man father." Their Bishops wear the mitre of Dagon, and the auger of Osiris, enlarged and called the shepherds crook . Babylonian gods are renamed Catholic saints, and given the same roles, Eros is renamed Valentine, Bacchus and Dynosius were sainted under their own names and so on. As the pagans had a god for every occasion, (the pantheon), so Rome has a saint for every occasion in her pantheon of saints or demigods.

    You don't need to quote from revelation as popes have banned the reading of that book because they knew that they were the Babylon mentioned in it. You also quote from the bible but reading that was a heresy for which there was the death penalty. So remember that if you quote from the bible, you are a heretic according to your own church.

    Roman religion is a pseudo Christian cult.

    Believe on Jesus Christ for as peter said "There is salvation in no other."

    A, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved,"

    Sorry I'm late to this, but I just now saw it.

    When I was in college, many of my Catholic friends and a few of my Protestant friends practiced what you are describing.

    They "gave up" and fasted from things like smoking, drunkeness, social drinking, cursing, fornication, junk food, and many other vices.

    It was always comical - back in college when we were all ignorant - to watch them moan and groan for six weeks. They would comically profess that they were miserable. And then six weeks later, they picked the vice back up.

    I never got that.

    Why undermine what Jesus answered on how to be saved?

    Why are you ashamed of what Jesus teaches himself always throwing it in a closet and pushing what other people think ABOUT JESUS.

    When it comes to christian teaching I start with what the LORD SAYS.


    Our greatest point of contention, FAITH ALONE.

    We don't back the idea that Faith DEVOID of LOVE is a saving faith.



    "scripture says "Call no man father."

    Same verses says Call no man MASTER.

    So if I can't call MR. David, Hows "Miss"?

    Wow dude, I TOTALLY thought you'd at least try to make this challenging.

    My mistake.

    First off, God cannot contradict Himself, can He? So when He tells me "And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven." Matthew 23:9

    Further: "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:8-9

    And most applicable to the RCC:
    "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world." 1 John 4:1

    Is Rome Heaven? So anyone who sits in that seat and instructs me to violate any commandment is clearly an anti-Christ.

    Second: "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17

    So I'm not arguing that tradition has some value, that's a straw man that frankly should die and go away.

    What we are specifically in protest against is counter-biblical traditions that conflict with the revealed, perfect, inerrant and complete canon of Scripture. Which is what the RCC has built itself on.

    The RCC made itself rich offering the forgiveness of sins, which is no different than me selling YOU the Brooklyn Bridge.

    Me:"Yeah, been in the family for ages, but I just don't use it that much anymore. Yours for a good price."

    You: "Are you off your meds?"

    And that would be a reasonable reaction.

    And to justify it, they will use Matthew 18:18.

    "Oh, so you mean, I get to tell God who to forgive and who to punish?"

    Not so fast there, friend, let's go back to Matthew 18:15 and get the context of this statement.
    v.15 "If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother."

    v.16 "But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses."

    v.17 "If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector."

    v.18 "Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed[fn] in heaven."

    So, in context, Christ is telling us that if someone has sinned against US personally, then we are to go to them and try to resolve it, if that doesn't work, we are to bring a Christian friend, and if that doesn't work, bring the matter before the church for potential church discipline. And He guarantees that if this process is followed, He will honor the conclusion. He is telling us that if we forgive the personal sin against us, He will forgive the sin in Heaven. And He is also explicitly stating the opposite.

    Yet somehow, some way, the RCC placed itself above Christ Jesus, offered to forgive any sin (as if they had that authority) for a price and grew rich.

    So again, return your straw man arguments about tradition to the cornfield on the back 40 where they belong.

    Tradition as a concept is neither one thing nor the other, neither inherently good nor necessarily bad.

    Counter-biblical traditions are of the devil and only deceive those who follow them into a false sense of salvation that leads only the the hell prepared for the devil and his angels.

    Fasting and feasting during Lent SBC even encourages the practice of Lent. Won't be long for churches to start observing this very old tradition.

    You can't just pick and choose verses brother:

    8But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, evenChrist; and all ye are brethren. 9And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 10Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

    You got the middle verse down pat, What about Don't call no man rabbi(teacher), And don't call any man MASTER, MR. is abbreviation of Master.


    Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, I love Jesus.

    Show us where the bible says it is the FINAL and ONLY authority. If its not in the bible, ergo unbiblical say that then, else show us the verse.

    There is just one tiny wall between us brother. Sola Scriptura and Faith Alone.

    You swear a rule has to be in the bible to be an official rule, that it is the final and only authority. You swear that rule is written out in the bible.

    Fine show it to me. I think you add stuff to the bible, You are not going to show me a bible verse, Ive been waiting 500 years for it.

    Oh no, that well worn and tired charge. Look, in Romans 4:16 St. Paul says the following: “Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,” Looks like the evangelist is in big doo doo with God with that statement.

    Also, in 1 Cor 4:14:15 it says:
    14 I am writing this not to shame you but to warn you as my dear children 15 Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.

    And there are many other places throughout the Scriptures where the writers refer to the faithful as their children As in Titus 1:4,
    "To Titus, my true child in a common faith: grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior", and in Philemom 10 "I appeal to you for my child, Onesimus, whose father I have become in my imprisonment" (Philem. 10).

    The prohibition is us looking upon any man as God, the Father in heaven, not merely calling other men father as the Scriptures so clearly point out.

    What gospel does the Catholic Church preach? Why only the death and resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins. Stop! Period! End of story! So much so that the RCC preaches it, it is Christ's sacrifice that is the focal point of our worship service, each and every one of them. Your focal point of worship on the other hand is the pulpit, not the altar.

    Yes, counter biblical traditions such as OSAS, Sola Scriptura, and hundreds if not thousands of new Christian sects with each claiming to being able to discern the real truth of it all.
