Old Testament Kingdom Prophecies. Literally or spiritually understood?

    What's your point? Mine is he taught the kingdom was then present. It is spiritual. And the Pharisees killed him thinking the kingdom would be physical. Would you have sided with them had you been there?

    My point is that he was not setting ujp right there His Millennial reign, so was a Spiritual Kingdom then, but will be a literal physical one set up at His Second Coming!

    I see nothing in God's word that tells me that His people are not going to rule and reign with Him in a literal 1,000 year span ( that will take place immediately after His literal and physical second coming ), and that He will do so from David's actual seat of power at Jerusalem, an earthly city with an earthly temple, until He puts all of His enemies at His feet and makes them His footstool.
    The spiritual kingdom made up of His saints is also a physical kingdom yet to come, Dave.

    Just as the new heavens and the new earth will be physical.
    I do agree that there is a spiritual aspect to the kingdom.
    Just as there is a physical aspect to it.

    Believe the words for the words' sake, Dave.
    There are many more passages that I did not make reference to, that you can consult for proof.

    In my opinion, all one has to do is read and believe them at face value.;)

    It's both Dave.

    The Pharisees were correct, but they missed the importance of the spiritual.
    There is a spiritual kingdom that exists among His people with Him waiting at the right hand of His Father to take His seat at Jerusalem at His second coming.

    That spiritual kingdom will be manifest physically at His coming again.
    It's not a "fairy tale" that people use to sell books...
    It really will happen.

    I won't be replying further on this subject here in this thread, as I can see how fixed you are in your convictions.
    Also it would require an exhaustive and Scriptural reply that I'm sure you've already looked at those passages and simply see them symbolizing things, where I see them being literal.

    “Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” Ephesians 2:5–6 (KJV 1900)

    “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” Ephesians 1:3 (KJV 1900)

    “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV 1900)

    “And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.” Exodus 19:6 (KJV 1900)

    The millennial kingdom is only 1000 years long and flesh and blood cannot enter it.

    A lot depends on how we view prophecy passages, as being literally fulfilled or in a spiritual sense!

    The 1000 years is the binding of Satan, not the Kingdom. He attacks the Kingdom when the 1000 years end.

    Will, any of the elect perish? The gospel binds him. But I think we are at the point where he is now loosed. Near the return of Christ.
