The King James Version onlyism mistake.

The main problem that I have is determining which Greek New Testament is the Word of God. Is it the Received Text or the Majority Text? I know it can't be the Critical Text.

    Romans 8: After the Spirit

This suggests that works are a proof of salvation, a doctrine contrary to Free Grace.

    Story Planning Software

I think that now I want to write a short story. Unfortunately, I find planning the story to be a difficult task, so much so that I've not even begun to plan it. So I am asking if you know of any free story planning software that will show me what I need to plan, and make it easy for me to plan...

    Tooth Infection

If, by using the name G you are addressing me, I will answer by saying that the swelling has gone down and I have had two operations on my teeth, but not on the teeth that caused the swelling, on which the dentists will operate during my subsequent appointments.

    Romans 8: After the Spirit

The Free Grace position is that salvation is by faith alone, neither merited nor proven by good works; but Romans 8 says of those who are in Christ Jesus, that they walk after the Spirit, seeming to signify, according to some interpretation of this phrase, that the saints obey God naturally...

    Melchizedek

One of the characters in the Bible, mentioned in the New Testament and appearing in the Old Testament, is Melchizedek, whom the KJV suggests has existed for eternity. What is the nature of this character, and why does the Bible present him as having no origin?

    Tooth Infection

I have had an infection in my tooth, which had spread to my eyelid and caused my face to swell. Much of my face is still swollen. The dentist prescribed me an antibiotic, which I've been on for two days now, but I still have a bad infection. How do I know that it's not a sinus infection in...

As a ‘Calvinist’, How did you come to believe?

You cannot be justified by the deeds of the Law and not justified by the deeds of the Law at the same time. Otherwise you have a contradiction in Romans. Paul cannot state that we are justified by doing the Law and then say that no one is justified by the deeds of the Law. I don't think Paul is...

As a ‘Calvinist’, How did you come to believe?

When I first started listening to him, I thought he was a powerful preacher. But the power of a preacher's style is no guarantee that he is preaching the truth, except perhaps if the preacher is Jesus, or unless the power truly comes from the Holy Spirit, though I don't know if He still does that.

As a ‘Calvinist’, How did you come to believe?

At one point I became a 5-point Calvinist, because, my sister having told me about Paul Washer, I listened to him and believed his preaching. Now I've rejected at least four points.

Is the King James Bible the Word of God?

I'm stating an observation about your post, which is pertinent to this debate, and you're thinking about whether my posts have cliches in them. It seems you're participating on the wrong board.

Is the King James Bible the Word of God?

Not a single word of the argument did I hear you refute.

Is the King James Bible the Word of God?

But how does one know, from their reading the modern Bibles, which is the right text?

Is the King James Bible the Word of God?

So then, if they don't have the same underlying text, which one is the Word of God, and which one is not?

    Another Prayer Request

    Okay. I feel better now.

Is the King James Bible the Word of God?

In one of the verses in that passage in Philippians, the KJV says the opposite of what the NIV says.

    Good Gravy

There are two comings of Christ to the earth, and another coming of Christ, a coming in which He does not touch the ground, between the first two preceding the tribulation. This is when the rapture occurs.
