Why? They may be quality products. I will purchase both...at least digital ...and read them for myself. I would say both will very good products. Both will be attacked, I am sure. Anytime you follow up a well respected translation, people will be upset and many will not give the new one a fair...

Not exactly a fair comparison. The NIV 2011 already had its name firmly established by the '84 edition. No need to advertise hard when you are at the top and your translation is the best known in the USA. From Crossway or Holman's stand point....if you are going to get into the Bible market...

The notes are great. The NET is a very viable translation. I have 3 things up when I read the Bible. The ESV, the NET and the NA28. I have found several words, phrases and sentences in which the NET translated the Greek, as I read it, better than the ESV....and you know I am a fan of the ESV...
