Why the SBC is no longer traditional Baptist

Perhaps they did. They blocked him 3 hours previously to me posting. Or atleast he made it public he was blocked. Perhaps he is unblocked now. ***Yes Tom has confirmed he was unblocked 1 hour ago. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Why the SBC is no longer traditional Baptist

Update to this. ERLC blocked Tom Buck today. He was pushing for a public renounce of Living Out Ministries from the ERLC...not just an endorsement withdrawal.....and they blocked him on Twitter. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Why the SBC is no longer traditional Baptist

I seen most of the previously. However I did not know he was linked to Soros....in a sort of kind of way. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Why the SBC is no longer traditional Baptist

After Pastor Tom Buck shared the true teachings (with documented prooof) of Revoice and Living Out Ministries with the ERLC and Russell Moore, endorsements were removed. But they should have did there homework before endorsing in any form. It isn't Tom Buck's responsibility to keep them inline...

Why the SBC is no longer traditional Baptist

Yes, Moore endorses more. Haha. And yes, she (Beth) has elevated herself to an unbiblical leadership postion and Russell openly supports her, without openly calling for female pastors. Beth has went full egalitarian and Russell is too close for comfort. Has far as Trump, I do feel many are...

Why the SBC is no longer traditional Baptist

I prefer funds to go to missions..foreign and local church plants. I would think local associations could represent their churches in matters of religious freedom or churches handle it theirselves. I say this not knowing fully what the ERLC does daily. But I really don't see why matters of...

Why the SBC is no longer traditional Baptist

The Police have no record of it. But Littleton never accused Moore of doing anything. He accused Leatherwood. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Why the SBC is no longer traditional Baptist

That is not how it happened. The ERLC, SBC and Dallas PD all said it didn't happen like that. Littleton was removed from the restricted area. He was not removed from the building. He also claimed the ERLC filed a police report on him. Dallas PD told the Christian Post, no such report exists...

Why the SBC is no longer traditional Baptist

You have used this statement atleast twice on this thread. You claiming that no man is attracted to another man? Or do you mean no one is born homosexual? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Why the SBC is no longer traditional Baptist

Have you ever listened to Mohler's podcast? He regularly rails against the cultural marxists movement. Then you say, "As for the 2000 BF&M, the current crowd of Greear, Moore, and Mohler are not going to support that either.". You know Mohler was one of the guys who wrote it right? Sent from...

What in the "World" does that word mean?

Pink was a Pastor of multiple churches in Kentucky alone. Surely one doesn't have to have "thousands" come to Christ under his teaching to be used by the Lord. Just because his pastoral work was not high profile, doesn't mean he wasnt used by God. "....Grow closer to Christ through Pink's...

    Walk to Emmaus

I like the idea, but execution sometimes falls short. While this a Untied Methodist event, they allow Baptist Clergy. I have seen where goir of the 5 clergy were Baptist and it goes pretty well. I have seen where 4 of 5 of the clergy are Methodist and the talks contradict each other...in my...

What in the "World" does that word mean?

This occurred right after my post. My use of the BDAG did not suggest Κόσμος referred to just the elect....or Jews alone ...or whoever. Perhaps it was not directed at me. But I think I am the only one who mentioned BDAG as well...and I quoted it directly. Enjoy your time with the wife. Sent...

What in the "World" does that word mean?

He honestly may have forgotten. A lot of posts since then, and he is busy. John seems to always try to deal with others honestly....even if he is wrong [emoji16]. So, I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt....more than I do others. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

What in the "World" does that word mean?

Even that takes reading all your early posts. I found the title misleading as well. You did clarify later. With John being a translator and diving into meaning of each word, I can see him going where he did. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

What in the "World" does that word mean?

"In this manner God loved the world". In this way he loved humanity........out of love, God did something; ὥστε (therefore, so that, accordingly, which resulted in....sending the μονογενῆ ....then we are to the hina clause, which is the purpose clause God's love resulted in send of the Son...

What in the "World" does that word mean?

"World" is the best rendering here, but even that comes with varying levels of meaning. It almost certainly refers to humanity in general in John 3:16-17. But the hina clause shows the purpose behind sending his son which is, so that all the ones believing in him shall not perish but have...

Bible Translation from Hebrew/Greek or English?

You really need to use the orginal language. As you know I english is a translation that does not go word for word with the Greek (it can't). If you take a translation and make a translation from it, you are further removing the readings from the orginal. At times the first translation must have...
