NEW: Kentucky AG Says Police DID Knock and Identify Themselves Before Entering and Shot At

Both Shaq and Barkley aren't buying into defund the police movement or that Breonna Taylor was murdered. “It’s bad this young lady lost her life,” Barkley said of Taylor. “But we do have to take into account that her boyfriend did shoot at the cops and shot a cop. So, like I say, even though...

John Macarthur Faces 6 Months in Jail

It's an interesting illustration. I will say this. Many of the "churches" that are super compliant are likely apostate churches. But you'll recognize these by the liberal theology. Others, however, are not, just timid. They've become a bad testimony, but not necessarily apostate.

NEW: Kentucky AG Says Police DID Knock and Identify Themselves Before Entering and Shot At

It's a little more sophisticated than that. They'll report facts that support their narrative, and always leave out facts that go against it. You'll only get half the story, the one they want you to hear about. You have to go to conservative media for the rest of the story.

Hopefully they'll riot in the form of voting.

John Macarthur Faces 6 Months in Jail

I've also heard it's going to be tough to find an officer to execute the arrest. Lot of police in his church, and good relationship with local police.

John Macarthur Faces 6 Months in Jail

MacArthur is encouraging many people, believers and unbelievers. I heard he's at peace with the consequences he faces. Said he's looking forward to jail ministry.

Why is no one mad at the guy opening fire on the police?

NEW: Kentucky AG Says Police DID Knock and Identify Themselves Before Entering and Shot At

Just heard some others making this case on the radio. Maybe that's the mistake. They knocked. And in a twist of irony, the no-knock may get banned, now.

NEW: Kentucky AG Says Police DID Knock and Identify Themselves Before Entering and Shot At

It's certainly possible. Perhaps the knock gave the shooter time to get locked and loaded. Bottom line, if police are shot at, I support their right to shoot back. If bullets come through the wall, that wall gets shot at. The shooter claims he didn't hear the knock which means he grabbed his...

    J. Macarthur on John 3:16

MacArthur is intriguing. He will at times sound almost Arminian, but will quickly sound Calvinsit the next day. He will affirm the TULIP, however. He just explains it in a more nuanced way, and seems to accept there are tensions in Scripture that no one can perfectly understand. If it's an...

    The Calvinist Gospel

As i said, I'm happy to discuss further. It's a worthwhile topic. Just a bit of a hijack to the current thread. I can try to start one later. I'm not going to say I'm an expert on every form of dispyism. You may be able to correct me on some things.

    Misery

I think death is the focus. Rom. 7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! Those who trust in Jesus don’t have to fear death any longer. John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am...

    The Calvinist Gospel

Some of the theological aspects of dyspism problematic. MacArthur sticks to the basics. Israel is not the Church and the Church is not Israel. There is a national plan for Israel, and a redemptive plan for all individuals. We are all saved by Christ and the Cross. OT saints did not get...

    Misery

Not to nitpick, but I don't see the word death anywhere. Death was the result of the Fall. Death is the enemy Christ came to conquer. I've always believed our culture's misunderstanding of death is a stumbling block to the Gospel. This I believe goes squarely back to the Church. We've...

    The Calvinist Gospel

Perhaps you could post that part. I'd like to see how they handle it. Reformed seminaries, today, have generally botched the creation account. Very few uphold biblical creation. (though Calvin, to his credit, was a biblical creationist)

    The Calvinist Gospel

The only thing I would add, for the sake of our culture, is the beginning of the story. Why did Jesus need to come in the first place? Where did sin and death come from? What was the world like before sin (Gen. 1:31)? The Fall and Curse set the stage for the Gospel. I would also add the end...
