New Dual Degree program @Liberty: become a Lawyer and Minister at the same time!

True... maybe "becoming" was incorrect. More like "has been doing". I know Wake Forrest U does this as well. Liberty is just keepin up with the times i guess.

New Dual Degree program @Liberty: become a Lawyer and Minister at the same time!

This is becoming a popular thing in the universities that offer Mdivs. Liberty must be keeping up with the times.

    Bob Jones University

BJ does have a seminary... since this is in the Baptist seminary part of the forum, I only mentioned them. Therefore, its relationship to the issue of RA is relevant. The seminary probably could not recieve RA with their current faculty.

    Bob Jones University

    4. is a bit off. This came straight off their seminary faculty page. It looks like the faculty is "inbred" with degrees that were likely not even TRACS accredited at the time. Even still, they would not meet RA requirements b/c their PhD's aren't RA. Please understand, I'm not saying that...

    Matthew 24:7

Is it the Byzantine priority of Maurice Robinson or the TRonlyism of... well... you know those Dean Burgon guys? For example (if you are willing to answer) what do you do with the Johannine comma? It is in the TR but not the Byzantine.

This Day in History - NUTS!

And Winters was not the commander of the 506th. I believe he was the ex. off. of 2nd battalion (506th reg.) at this time. But he was never the commander of the regiment. That was Col. Sink. Just a little more historical accuracy ;) BTW... loved reading all the BoB books, especially...

    Non-accredited seminary VS. Book Study

I'd love to hear more about your dissertation consultation business. Do you bother with ThM theses? What are your terms, charges, and policies?

    Andersonville: Biblical Languages

And you are considering working on a PhD? Why even bother with Andersonville? Just curious...

    Sats

Experts, be honest. How does an MTh or even a PhD from SATS look over here in America? I mean, academically, how would schools, colleges, universities, & seminaries look at their degree?

    Sats

I know only a little, b/c for a time I considered it. But I can only tell you what they told me; that is, what concerned me getting a MTh in NT and/or Biblical Greek. I had to do 3 translation projects and then a thesis. THe translation projects consisted of translating 10 chapters from the...

Did Jesus have a sin nature?

What if his humanity was similar to that of ADam; you know that whole "last Adam" motif... Plus you have to explain where the sin nature comes from. This is where the VB is really important. And are there any verses to support your conclusion or is it just a theological implication pulled out...

Did Jesus have a sin nature?

1Jn 3:5 You know that he was revealed to take away sins, and there is not any sin in him. or literal: "... sin is not in him."

Online Master of Arts in Biblical Studies

I think you might be surprised with allowances of some schools to accept the equivalence of an mdiv. For instance, I am working on a ThM w/out an MDiv. I have to do leveling classes but only because the languages I took were at the undergrad level and they want to make sure I can hang. Other...

Where to study in the UK

Does anyone have thoughts on Sheffield???

    seminary ?

I'm not sure where you got the numbers for SEBTS, but their website has: $182 per credit hour (sbc student) for the MDiv. Therefore, SEBTS has a much lower rate as well. I don't see how you can lose :D

Online Master of Arts in Biblical Studies

While not intended to be an endorsement of BJU in any way, I know some of their students, faculty, and expectations. You had better bring your A game to hang with some of those guys. But as was mentioned, they are only accredited w/ TRACS.
