Who gets the glory in salvation? The self-righteous who think they save themselves? Or God who saves those who cannot save themselves?

Who gets the glory in salvation? The self-righteous who think they save themselves? Or God who saves those who cannot save themselves?
Percho, the topic is reconciliation.
So, your beliefs are full of wisdom and correction and anyone who disagrees is a fool? The fool rejects wisdom and correction
Smokescreed none stop. Pay no attention to the bogus claims of Calvinists.General reconciliation would depend on universal atonement. Which ends up in Pelagianism.
Once again Percho, I am not sure what your point is. Are you saying Christ died for all mankind (General Reconciliation) or only for the supposedly previously chosen elect (Particular Reconciliation)?I understand and I believe it was the first thing in the plan of God in sending his Son into the world. I do not believe it needs to be preceded by general, particular or any other word.
for if, being enemies, we have been reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, From Rom 5:10
for what the law (Thou shall not eat of it) was not able to do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, His own Son having sent in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, did condemn the sin in the flesh, Romans 8:3
Why the need for reconciliation? ---
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life Gen 3:22-24
how that God was in Christ -- a world reconciling to Himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses; and having put in us the word of the reconciliation, 2 Cor 5:19
Now methinks, that the underlined, we and the us, are the same folk but that does not mean the whole world is excluded.
Who is good?
That answer will show you who have been chosen to redemption and who has been chosen to damnation.
Hint: No human does good in themselves.
Re-read the scripture you posted. My question is not complicated and it's directly related to the scripture you posted. What does that have to do with my post?
All are resurrected. All. And it’s by Jesus’ power. So there’s at least salvation from death at the hand of Jesus. That was my point.

I never said your question was complicated, just irrelevant to my post, which was an answer to @atpollard’s question. Rereading hasn’t changed that. Maybe you should reread AT’s post to find the context of mine.Re-read the scripture you posted. My question is not complicated and it's directly related to the scripture you posted.
What if Calvin was right? Would this tell any Calvinist you hate God and worship an idol?Smokescreed none stop. Pay no attention to the bogus claims of Calvinists.
Many steal his glory and give it to their self-righteous selves.GOD I shout GOD!

But going back to your question, it isn’t related to the scripture I posted either. The scripture talked of those that had done good, not that were good.
On and on, folks, Calvinists changing the subject to me and perhaps my hatred of God. So sad. What if Calvin was right? Would this tell any Calvinist you hate God and worship an idol?
Who can do good?
The Bible tells us the answer. It has to do with being in Christ...
What is the means of salvation, van?On and on, folks, Calvinists changing the subject to me and perhaps my hatred of God. So sad.
Christ died as a ransom for all (1 Timothy 2:6) not for just a few.
Christ bought with His blood those heading for destruction (2 Peter 2:1)
Christ became the propitiation or means of salvation for the whole world (mankind). 1 John 2:2
Scripture is right and those make it to no effect are wrong.
Calvinists re-ask the same questions over and over and then ignore the answers given over and over. What is the means of salvation, van?
Do humans play a part in the means by which they are saved? Or is the means by which humans are saved entirely by God alone?
Van, I believe the means of salvation is entirely by God alone. Do you agree?
Romans 3:10-18,22-30 as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” “Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive.” “The venom of asps is under their lips.” “Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; in their paths are ruin and misery, and the way of peace they have not known.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe.Citation please, so we can discuss. Just appealing to the Bible as a while shuts down useful conversations.

You chose not to answer the question, Van. I will ask you again, since you are the one who brought up the means of salvation. Please answer this very simple question.Calvinists re-ask the same questions over and over and then ignore the answers given over and over.
But here it is again for the umpteeth time:
Propitiation provides the means of salvation from the wrath of God. And just what is this means? The blood of Christ, the life laid down as a ransom for all. Everyone and anyone placed into Christ as our propitiatory shelter obtains salvation, they are forgiven and the decrees against them are set aside.
Calvinists post false charges over and over, pay not attention to these non-stop falsehoods. They are smokescreedYou chose not to answer the question, SNIP
