“And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.”

Jesus is referring to not giving Father God status to any man on earth. Which is what the Roman Emperor was desiring, worship as Father God.

If I was a literalist moron, I would take this injunction universally and not even call my own father ‘ Father ‘. Which is stupid.

The Holy Spirit gets it right in context.
What the Devil says above has nothing to do with the Word of GOD, the Devil tries to comment about Scriptures, but his SATANIC spirit
has nothing to do with the Word of GOD. The message and comment above is of an IMPOSTOR, inspired by the Devil. 1Timothy 4:1-2:->Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of demons; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

The three Apostles were witnesses to the Transfiguration and the Father speaking, like the time people heard the Father speak at the baptism in the Jordan.
But this is very different from the direct guidance Peter received from The Father.

So you deny clear scripture. You have just proven that you have zero credibility.

It was Peter that first brought the Gentiles into the Church, before that Paul had nothing to do with the Gentiles.
It was entirely on Peters infallibly guided vision from Heaven that the Gentiles were included in the Church.
Until then no believer could even enter a Gentiles house, let alone eat with them.

The fact you think Peter brought gentiles into the church is actually funny. God used Peter and Paul to accomplish what He had planned to happen.

You are so desperate to elevate Peter that you will ignore scripture to do so.

But then again the RCC does have the habit of ignoring scripture.

Very un-christian comments there @Cathode.

We can call our natural parent father as we are not suggesting he has the authority of God.

The RCC wants people to call a priest or your pope father as the RCC thinks they have taken the place of God in authority on earth. Just one of many false teaching that have come out of that corrupt organization.

“The apostles and the believers throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God. 2 So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcised believers criticized him 3 and said, “You went into the house of uncircumcised men and ate with them.”
4 Starting from the beginning, Peter told them the whole story: 5 “I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision. I saw something like a large sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came down to where I was. 6 I looked into it and saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles and birds. 7 Then I heard a voice telling me, ‘Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.’
Peter had a vision and heard a voice telling to him as described, but others also had similar work, Phillip was one of them: Acts 8:26-40
26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.

34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same Scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And the EUNUCH answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of GOD.-->The EUNUCH said of the same manner Peter had said to JESUS-Matthew 16:16.

38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

40 But Philip was found at Azotus
(it is impressive): and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

9 “The voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’ 10 This happened three times, and then it was all pulled up to heaven again.
11 “Right then three men who had been sent to me from Caesarea stopped at the house where I was staying. 12 The Spirit told me to have no hesitation about going with them. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man’s house. 13 He told us how he had seen an angel appear in his house and say, ‘Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter. 14 He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.’
15 “As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning. 16 Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with[a] water, but you will be baptized with[b] the Holy Spirit.’ 17 So if God gave them the same gift he gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?”
18 When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, “So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.”
What the Devil says above, surreptitiously he tries to help his SATANIC CHURCH, the Roman Catholic Church, and takes the name of Peter, NOT THE NAME OF JESUS, as a support for his satanic idolatries and witcheries.

1Corinthians 10:14-21

14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

18 Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

19 What say I then? that the idol (THE IDOL OF PETER, FOR EXAMPLE) is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to GOD: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with demons. (SATAN GLORIFY PETER, NOT JESUS, NOT THE FATHER)

21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

No we can’t apparently, it says “ call no man Father “. See what I mean.

They are our Fathers in Christ through the Gospel, so we call them Father, which is a Biblical idea. So where are your fathers in Christ through the Gospel?

Don’t have any?

What a foolish and devilish discussion. Why to wast time with what is good for nothing, except to deviate from the most important of Scriptures?
Satan wants to take up believers' time with his nonsense mentioned above.

You are clutching at straws here mate.

It was Peter alone that got direct guidance from the Father in Heaven when he was standing amid all the Apostles.

“ Blessed are you Simon bar Jona, for it was not flesh and blood that revealed this to you, but my Father in Heaven “.

It was entirely on Peters vision of the sheet that rolled down from Heaven, that the Gentiles were received into the Church.

Like I said, nowhere is any other Apostle guided directly by The Eternal Father.
What of the apostle Paul? We read of him:

“Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, "Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent;” (Ac 18:9 NKJV)

Clear guidance there!

Yes, the Church / the disciples of JESUS were powerful in faith and in Knowledge. Stephen, being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of GOD, and JESUS standing on the right hand of GOD, (How wonderful was the scenario looked by Stephen). And he said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of GOD. -Hallelujah!!!- Acts 7:55-56

And the Jews cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, and stoned him.

“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Heretics are soul destroying monsters, to be greatly feared, they cause upheaval in this world and damnation I the next.

A heretics bite doesn’t just kill the body, it kills the soul.

If that is how you handle Scripture, I can see why you ended up in Rome.
That passage is not speaking about justification to kill heretics but rather it is God who is to be feared, ironically it was those whom Rome deemed as heretics that used that passage to comfort themselves before the flames of their persecutors... usually Rome.

They are our Fathers in Christ through the Gospel, so we call them Father, which is a Biblical idea. So where are your fathers in Christ through the Gospel?

Don’t have any?

If our natural parent were a Christian then they would be our father who is in Christ.

The bible is clear that there is a Father of Christ and He would be our Father if we are in Christ

Joh 1:12 But as many as received Him, {Christ} to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

Rom_8:15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!"

So it seems your "They are our Fathers in Christ through the Gospel, so we call them Father, which is a Biblical idea." is just another RCC false teaching. The RCC wants to replace God the Father by assuming the authority of God on earth. Which is what your popes have done when they come up with their many false doctrines that are not found in scripture?

When Catholics call Pope Holy father and vicar of Christ upon earth, that is sheer blasphemy

When Catholics call Pope Holy father and vicar of Christ upon earth, that is sheer blasphemy
In fact, a Gentile Beast, a religious MONSTER, "having 7 heads and 10 horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his (7) heads the name of blasphemy"(Rev.13:1).

But from now on, one of his 7 heads will be wounded mortally(Rev.13:3), but "his deadly wound was (will be) healed: and ALL THE WORLD wondered after the Beast"(of sea).

The deadly wound of the Beast of sea will be healed: How?
-well,"the DRAGON (that is the false lamb, false messiah, an esoteric and kabbalistic messiah"-John 5:43-47 combined with Revelation 13:11, and so on) gave (will give) him his power, and his seat (in Jerusalem), and great authority. -> there will be a partnership of the Beast of the earth (false lamb, false messiah-Rev.13:11) with the Beast of the sea-Revelation 13:2. -> Then the 1st half of the last week, week 70th Daniel 9:27 will be LLITERALLY fulfilled.

Get ready
