I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another Isaiah 42:8...........
I will say to the north, Give up ; and to the south, Keep not back : bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; 7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. Isaiah 43:6-7..........
I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour . 12 I have declared , and have saved , and I have shewed , when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.....Isaiah 43:11-12.
AMEN!That's what Jehovah says.
Those who are Christ's gladly give Him that which is His alone, His glory....now, anti-Christs, well.......
It's hard to keep track of you, but I thought you were not a part of any church.

Are you part of a congregation now?Yes well thinking cousin is not knowing.
Are you part of a congregation now?
If man is totally incapable of good, then man cannot be faulted for his sins.
man is incapable of doing good works that pass the inspection by God, a sinner cannot do the 'right" type of good works well enough to merit God saving them! Does NOT mean a person cannot do good deeds/things, just that NONE of them would merit any favor in sight of God unto salvation!
If God has already elected those who are going to heaven, then why evangelize, seek to be saved, or even follow God's path?
NEITHER Cavinist/Arminiians actually know just whom will be saved by the lord, so do all of us just stop telling others, teaching/preaching Christ then?
Your traditional Calvinist would proclaim, "Because God told us so!" But if God has already elected those who will be going to heaven, no amount of influence from Christians will change who is elected or not. Evangelism may be the means of how God saves the elect, but our conscience decision to not evangelize will not affect the elect.
Classic Arminianism teaches us that we all have the general grace suffieicent to have all of us saved IF we make the right decision, so how can we persuade those who musy decide on their "own free will" to choose Christ?
Seems BOTH positions have to be evolved kin evangelism, main difference being Calvinists assume some will get saved by the Lord, non cals not sure any will be!
If God predestined everything, then there is no use in praying for your friends or family.
God also has determined that he will also work thru both our decisions and the prayers offered to Him in faith!
Basically, God has already predestined the events and no appealing to God will likely change his mind- it has already been predestined and cannot be changed.
the Lord has already determined/planned/purposed all that will happen, but he also did and does factor in our responses/decisions/prayers, as He does not tell us to do those things for "no reason!"
Amen... if God were centered on something less than himself, then he would treasure something that is not the best... is that not what idolatry is? Treasuring something that is less than the best?Praise God that He is centered on Himself. All honor and glory belong to Him alone.
I'm sorry... I addressed the OP questions. If it is not to your satisfaction, a polite request would do. Give it a try instead of being so harsh. Not much salt seasoned in that post.Seven pages of name calling (idiot, etc) of dodging, and evading the arguments against Calvinism.
1) If God predestines everything... How many Calvinists addressed this and posted, "yes, God predestines everything." Not one.
2) God causes us to sin, if He predestines everything... How many Calvinists addressed this and posted, "yes, God causes us to sin." Not one.
3) If God has already chosen those who will be saved, and He predestines everything, then why does He punish those He compels to sin? Has any Calvinist addressed this and posted "yes, it demonstrates His glory to punish us for the sins He compelled us to do." Not one.
Instead we get seven pages of shuck and jive. They do not even attempt to defend it because it is irrational nonsense.
Yet again it was claimed the goats reject the gospel, nullifying Matthew 13, where folks receive the gospel with joy, yet are not saved. John says professing Christians go out from us because they are not of us, so yet again we have people attracted by the gospel of Christ but unwilling to fully and wholeheartedly commit.
Calvinism misrepresents scripture.

Just b/c it is in the Bible doesn't mean you need to dump that all on children. I.e. even the ancient Jews wouldn't let kids read Song of Songs. There are many taboos in the Bible. There is no need to discuss a truth until they are ready and able to hear it. Most kids can't comprehend hell anyways. Mostly, that "discussion" is a ploy to scare kids into conversion. My strategy w/ my children will be to talk of the glory and magnificence and beauty and desirability and satisfaction of Jesus in all things. I want them to want Jesus NOT salvation from hell. See my siggie below.
They all understand that its not God who causes them to disbelieve. they do that all on own. they also understand that the lost are not sent to hell because God consigns them to it arbitrarily, but as a judgment for their sins. My family also understands & supports the belief in Full Sovereign Grace, which does not leave any room at all for human merit in salvation. See the whole aim of this style of soteriology, is to glorify God for His sovereign grace.....not adding any human element back into the equation.
I came from a Roman catholic background which insists that the will of man is the decisive factor in salvation. Not doing that anymore.....and my family agrees. Sola Gratia.....to add anything at all to God's grace is to destroy its graciousness, its very nature as a gift.
Quite true. And I am content in that truth that God is sovereign over my children. Like Paul, I pray and plead to God to bring them to spiritual life in the midst of God's sovereign election.Jesus spoke quite often telling His listeners to avoid hell, kinda makes you wonder why since Jesus knew they could do nothing about it anyways.
It really wouldn't matter if you want your kids to "want Jesus". They cannot want Jesus unless God makes them want Jesus, so your own personal desire for your kids could very well be a "no" from God in the TULIP world view.
Jesus spoke and taught about hell (1) in order to educate His elect listeners then about what they have been spared from, which sparing was determined from the foundation of the world, and (2) to educate His elect readers after then, now, and tomorrow of what they had been spared from, which like His listeners then, the sparing was determined from the foundation of the world.
He never preached on hell to scare them into turning to Him, like many do today, but for them to glorify God having realized the horror they were exempted from, and what He was about to go through in time to seal and affirm that exemption.
no sheep of His has ever been, or ever will be, destined to hellfire and brimstone, that is for the wicked unelect. They were called goats from the beginning, and His people were called His saints and sheep from the beginning.
Amen! I teach and believe everything you posted here.
If I were a young man and married a young woman again, and I truly believed TULIP was correct, I certainly wouldn't take the chance of having children just to see some of them spend eternity in hell, seeing they had no choice in the matter, knowing my efforts could play no part in their coming to know Jesus. As you described the TULIP way......"to add anything at all to God's grace is to destroy its graciousness".
