Look at the distinction...Field----> NOT THE KINGDOM
Good Seed-----> Sons of the Kingdom

39 and the enemy who sowed them is the devil.The harvest is the end of the age,

Familiar Language in 2 Corinthians 4

3 And even if our gospel is veiled,it is veiled to those who are perishing.4 In their case the god of this world(AGE)

 

He is speaking TO the Corinthian believers teaching them that Satan is the god of this world. He is not speaking to the lost at all. The germ of truth here is that Satan is "the god of this world," whether or not you are lost or saved. Your spiritual condition does not change that fact.

So who reigned over them?

27 But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them before me.

Joshua said, CHOOSE you this day whom you will serve...the one you serve is the one who reigns over you.

 

Read verse 27 again......the rebels did not want Him to reign over them....BUT HE DID.
At the white throne judgment they will get their theology right.
It is only grace that enables us to welcome His kingly reign Rom 6:16-21

Jesus rules and reigns now. All men are responsible before Him and each person will give an account of himself.
God's law rules.....it is not optional. Law breakers and rebels against God's word will be eternally punished.
Jesus rules with a rod of iron. Not one sin, not one idle word will go unpunished.
The rebellion of sinners does not negate the reign of the King.

Of course the field is the world, where this kingdom narrative is taking place. You seriously believe underlining, italicizing, adding bold letters facilitates your point? Your point is near-sighted and erroneous. The basics of parables is using earthly language and descriptions to describe the kingdom. We see the parable of the sower as it is taking place now.

Your presuppositions won't let you see that all throughout the passage there He is showing the kingdom and its subjects in the here and now. Just because there is a harvest in the end doesn't mean all the events are future but instead show the culmination of it.

Do you see the parable of the sower, that the things entailed in that are happening as of now, how people react to the Gospel? It also happened during the earthly ministry of Christ, by the way.

Hence why Christ said, the Kingdom is Within You. The Physical Kingdom is Established in Heaven and in the HEarts of the Believers. Soon, He will come to Earth with His Kingdom.
