The Roman Church has ALWAYS saved by grace, always, but it's disingenuous for Protestants to read that and say "Oh it's the same", it's far from the same, see my initial response, this "Grace" is granted at Baptism, however one sin and it's damaged, mortal and it's KILLED, some "Grace". The Church of Rome is some grace, some merits from Mary and the Saints, maybe a miracle or two they give great amount of merits, pray to saints for some of their merits, yet get this blasphemy, at death IF WE HAVE ENOUGH MERITS GOD WOULD BE UNJUST TO NOT ALLOW US INTO HEAVEN!

Close to Protestant theology, Biblicaly theology, not hardly, even some of the best Roman Church members are still burning in purgatory, hardly good news, especially when Jesus said the tax collector, by knowing God knew His sins, didn't raise his eyes to Heaven but said "God have MERCY ON ME A SINNER", these words are often overlooked, HE WENT HOME JUSTIFIED! Folks Justification is everything, if you are justified the game's over, "....for all He Justified, He glorified", no break in "Golden Chain" Romans 8:28 et al.

Did you know in the latest council, the Roman Church still affirms that you can PAY TO GET PEOPLE OUT OF PURGATORY? Read it yourself if you doubt me, lately the Roman Church has tried to blend with us, as have the Mormons, BE AWAKE CHURCH!

 

They deny that Jesus death by itself is able to save sinners, that the power of God can accomplish that without our helping Him out!

 

PLEASE. There is a huge push but the Church of Rome and Mormons to "mix", "Blend" with the Church of the bible, please don't fall for it. If you like all of the finery may I recommend a Reformed Lutheran Church, some Prespyterian Churches do it up nice as well. DO WHAT, BASED ON THE BIBLE, YOU THINK JESUS WOULD WANT, would He want someone dressed in a Holy Robe, a Church believing they are eating and drinking his body and blood when that was never the intent.

When I was younger, raised in a Atheist home, I started with false teaching (Pentecostal), and had REAL PROBLEMS, I see now why Peter, Paul and the Lord warned and gave the sternest warning to false teachers, no mercy, Anathema, what Paul proclaimed on "any other gospel" means "go to Hell", this is not joke

 

That's right! As do all cults, Mormons, "Jesus Plus ____", JW, "Jesus plus _____" even Islam teaches Jesus was Messiah, not in our sense of course, but it's not enough, Jesus just doesn't seem to be enough for people, so they want to add to Him "Look Lord how great I was today", meanwhile the Lord sees your failure and boasting.

We really have no concept on how bad sin is, and how great God is!

IF you believe different than the RCC< why not just leave and become fully Baptist?

 

I have a friend who went form catholic to Baptist to reformed, and the priest told him that he went officailly apostate in eyes of Rome when water Baptized in another church!

 

You cannot be in both churches though, as light does not mix with darkness very well!

 

The great news for him was that Rome had NO power over him, as he now belongs to Christ and the true church of His!

 

The problem is that the Bible doesn't teach salvation by "faith AND good works". It teaches salvation by faith alone, unto good works.

 

If you're going to claim that the Bible teaches we are not justified by faith alone, then please show that verse.

Thus, admitting that Catholics do not believe in the sufficiency of Christ's atonement.

 

Why would you continue to go to a church where a false gospel is being preached?

If you were a baptismal candidate in our church, that would be a huge red flag, to say the least.
