    Is Putin the beast/antichrist?

That's just a point that we have been debating for several years. You have your reasons for your beliefs and I have my reasons for mine. For the point of this discussion, we agree that Putin is definitely not the Beast of Revelation.

    Questions about watching TV

Thank you. I'd never heard of Uncle Earl's, so I will download the app to my Fire Stick. Looks like a lot of old familiar shows where I can go back to yesteryear.

    Is Putin the beast/antichrist?

That makes sense. I still think that prince was Titus, but I see where you are coming from. Thank you.

    Is Putin the beast/antichrist?

If I may ask, how do we know that the AC will be of Roman descent? You are right in that we must pray for God's protection on the Ukraine and the Russian soldiers.

    Is Putin the beast/antichrist?

For once, I agree with you. As you say, Scripture is the governing factor, and Scripture does not support Putin as the Beast/Antichrist. We need to let Scripture guide our views instead of fear and imagination from watching world events. Putin's invasion of Ukraine has obviously stirred up a...

    Questions about watching TV

Great video, Brother @Mark Corbett. I am so glad I invested 23 minutes into watching it, and thankful for the time you invested in putting it together. It really caused me to do some soul searching about what I watch, and why I watch the TV and movies that I do. I agree with 100% of what you...

    What is Babylon?

If you and @kyredneck will allow me, I would like to comment on this before the thread closes. Scripture tells us that the "land promise" has been fulfilled. Joshua 21:43-45 tells us that "the LORD gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers...not a word failed...

    Cussing Christians?

The Bible says that we are Christ's ambassadors. As such, we are supposed to represent Him in everything we say and do. If a situation calls for using strong language as Jesus did, we should follow His example. However, Jesus never cussed. Colossians 4:6 tells us to let our speech always be...

    Cussing Christians?

I couldn't agree more. As followers of Christ, we are to be different from the world. Yet, how would anyone know we are different if we look and sound just like those in the world? In Ephesians 4:29-31, St. Paul instructs us to "let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth", and to put away...

    Which Generation are you?

Baby Boomer (born in 57). I think we should re-name today's kids either the "Lost Generation" or the "Entitled Generation". My daughter (born in 82) is intelligent and a hard worker. My SIL (born in 75), both lost and entitled.

    What is Babylon?

To see also means perceive or understand. Israel mourned when they realized Christ had "come" in judgement for crucifying Him.

    What is Babylon?

The"they" of Rev 1:7 is the same generation as the disciples that Jesus spoke to in the Olivet Discourse. Note the phrase "even those who pierced Him". This could only mean 1st century Israel, who cried out for Barabbas to be released so Jesus could be crucified.

    What is Babylon?

Thanks, Brother. I'm in the middle of Arkansas. We've decided to stay here tonight and go back home to Texas tomorrow.

    What is Babylon?

Then you would have to say Jesus is either mistaken or a liar, since He did tell His disciples THEY would see the events He spoke of.

    What is Babylon?

I'm on the road visiting relatives and didn't bring my laptop. If you don't mind, I will keep my answer short, as I am using my phone. My Men's Group study was really good. We got carried away and lost track of time. I must compliment you on your very thorough exegesis of those passages...

    What is Babylon?

Respectfully, Brother, you haven't proven a thing. You say my views are guesswork, but I am not the one who has to change what the Scriptures actually say in order to make my case. As I've said before, I'll stick with what Jesus clearly said over your reinterpretations.

    What is Babylon?

True, the 70th Week could not have extended to AD 70. I've given this a great deal of study, and I think I have an answer to that conundrum. Rejecting Jesus and crying out for a murderer to be set free determined the destruction of Jerusalem which would come @ 40 years later. The Crucifixion...

    What is Babylon?

Friendly neighborhood Preterist here (with apologies to Spider-Man). Yes, I believe the Babylon of Revelation was 1st Century Jerusalem - not Rome. We have had "types" of Babylon since then, as @Mark Corbett has shown us. Today, we especially this with the entertainment industry, which...

    What is Babylon?

Although I disagree, I believe I see where you are coming from. Many Christians see an undetermined gap of time between Daniel's 69th and 70th Weeks. Since this 70 Weeks Prophecy is based on Judah's 70 years of Babylonian captivity, and since there was no gap in those 70 years, I don't see a...

    What is Babylon?

So you've been trying to tell me for a few years now. Then again, I say it's you with the incorrect view. No problem. We will never agree, and this is not a "salvation" issue. Nothing more than different interpretations of prophecy. I am convinced my view is correct, just as you are...
